Keys fell to the floor as the female looked to Dick. Her mouth opened and closed, eyes wide. Dick had never fully introduced himself outside of his hero life to her, but there was obvious recognition behind her eyes. Wally looked between them, confused as hell.

"Do you know each other?" No one moved, no one answered. Dick couldn't help but stare and she just stared back. The young hero had assumed she knew nothing. He had endured her wrath, anger and depression. She blamed him for Wally's death and his unhappiness leading up to it. There were countless times where she drunk dialed him and screamed for hours. Suddenly, it all had stopped. Maybe, this was why.

"Hello?" Wally waved his hand trying to get their attention. Richard moved towards Wally and did not ever lose eye contact with the ginger's girlfriend.

"Do you want to explain or should I, Artemis?" He gritted out. She licked her lips and moved into the apartment, door closing behind her.

"I'm not sure what you mean." She spoke softly, picked up her keys and walked to place her bag down.

"Bullshit." Dick crossed his arms.

"What the hell is up?" Wally was really confused. How did Dick and Arty know each other? Were they exes? Where they old friends?

"Nothing." Artemis had turned her back to the guest and looked to Wally.

"Artemis, either you fucking explain our wonderful history, or I will." The blue-eyed cop threatened. She whipped her head back to him. Fury in her eyes.

"We have no history!" She screamed. Anger filled Dick. All the memories, nightmares, where she had turned the team against him, where her voice played in his mind as he drank himself to sleep and the verge of death, where she sent daily texts about his failure to protect his best friend. How dare she! How fucking dare she keep this to herself; keep Wally to herself.

"You bitch!" Dick raced towards her. Before he could reach Artemis, a swift breeze pushed him against the wide windows of the apartment. Wally pressed his elbow to Dick's throat, the younger male had wide eyes.

"Don't threaten my girlfriend, ever." The speedster breathed. In complete honesty, this situation had happened before and it was giving Dick hardcore De ja vu. Artemis had pressed his buttons right before one of their last missions and Dick lost his temper. Wally, in response pushed his former best friend into the Mountain's massive computer. That was the last time any of them has spoken to each other outside of a mission.

The more important thing was Artemis...and that Wally obviously had his speed.

"She isn't who she says she is." He replied. "She's lying to you." Wally swallowed hard.

"Apparently, so are you." He dropped his arm from Dick's throat and turned to Artemis. She had a frown on her face and chewed her lip nervously. "You and him. Sit." Wally could be very authoritative when he wanted to be, it had turned Dick on in the past. When it was directed towards him, not so much.

Artemis trudged to one of the couches and sat. Wally nodded in thanks to her. They both looked to him.

"I'll talk, but I'm not going by her." He said.

"Sit." Wally replied. Dick didn't budge. "Sit, or I kick you out." It was tempting to leave, since Dick's anger towards the archer continued to grow, but he couldn't. Finally, he would be getting the answers he had been searching for. In the back of his mind, Dick also believed Artemis lying would make Wally so mad that he'd leave her; creating an opening for him.

"Fine." Dick sat on the opposite couch of Artemis. Wally stood in between the pieces of furniture.

"So, who wants to go first?" The speedster asked. Artemis looked to the floor like a child all to avoid Wally's gaze. He hoped whatever was going on wasn't too bad. He needed her to confirm that it wasn't going to ruin what they had. Her looking away meant she knew what he needed and she couldn't give him the happy answer he wanted.
