I never asked you to give me
the world.
I never asked you for diamonds
and pearls.
All I asked for was your love
but that wasn't what you wanted
me for.
You only wanted me underneath
you for a few nights of passion
and I allowed you to play me
like your favorite song on repeat.
That's not even the worst part.
It's the fact that I want you to.
Because it's the only way you will
see me as your main attraction.
It never lasts long but I've never been
one to settle for anything good.
