Drey's POV
I was in the middle of discussing tomorrow's match with those around me when I, out of pure coincidence, looked up at the door. That when I noticed her. She was following her friends over to the bar. Unlike the rest of the girls in the club, she was different. She carried herself with an air of dignity, an uncomfortable smile spread across her beautiful, porcelain face. The club light shown off her in radiant hues.
One of my friends looked over in the direction I was looking. "Whoa, she's hot! Man, I got to go and talk to her. Do you think I got a chance?"
I looked at Adrian, realizing his eyes were glued to one of the girl's friends, the one in the extremely little black dress. I grinned, hiding my relief. "Go for it, dude. I'm rooting for you."
Looking back over to the group, I noticed the three girls had taken seats. The guy was standing behind them, close to the mystery girl.
At first, I took the guy to be the girl's boyfriend. I noticed them holding hands on the way over to the bar and the way he was hovering over her. However, after they all did a shot, he walked away and started flirting with some girl. Either he was the world's biggest dick of a boyfriend or they were just friends.
The girl I had been admiring edged closer to her friends, smiling at something they said. My heart skipped a beat. She had one of those smiles that seemed to light up her face.
Adrian hit me on the shoulder. I looked at him. "I'm going to go ask that girl for a dance." He got up.
I watched their group as I saw a guy tap the girl's shoulder. Dammit... I'm too late. I watched at the girl shook her head and turned back to her friends. I sighed in relief.
That's when Adrian reached the girl in the little black dress. He said something to her then bowed slightly. I smiled proudly. That's my boy, turn that charm up.
Just then, this little petite blonde walked up to me. "Drey isn't it? I think I have you're in one of my classes."
I had to force my eyes away from the mystery girl and look down at the girl. "Um.. Year. Who are you?" I tried to make my voice sound less irritated than I felt, but my words still sounded like venom. It didn't faze her.
"I'm Libby. Sorry I've never had the courage to talk to you before not." She tried to put on this shy, innocent act that was so overdone and extremely unappealing coming from her. I could tell from the way she dressed and the way she was playfully touching my arm that all she was interested in was hooking up.
I noticed the drink in her hand, she was probably already tipsy, if not drunk. "Uh. It's okay, Libby is it?" She nodded, a coy little smile on her over-the-top lip-glossed mouth. "Well it's nice to meet you, Libby." I smiled politely at her, trying to be as nice as possible even though all I wanted to do was push her to the side and go to the bar.
"Do you want to dance?" She asked, blinking her eyes. I will never understand why girls think that's flirty. Honestly, it looks like you're trying to blink out a piece of dirt... or a twig in some cases.
I looked over at the bar where the mystery girl was fiercely saying something to a guy standing next to here. Smiling apologetically at Libby, I tried to let her down easy. "Sorry, but I'm actually meeting someone at the bar." Well hey, it wasn't actually a lie, per se. "I'll see you in class though, Libby. Bye."
I started walking over to the bar, leaving Libby pouting where I'd left her.
I didn't go directly over to her. Instead I ordered a beer and observed her as she took out her phone, engrossed in whatever was on the screen.
It was now or never. I made my way over to her, quietly sitting on the bar stool next to her. Peering over her shoulder at her phone screen, I noticed she was working on a Sudoku puzzle.
I silently chuckled to myself, Definitely not like other girls here.
I watched as she filled box after box with numbers until I saw my opportunity. "A seven goes there." I said as I pointed to ta box.
I must have startled her because she actually visibly jumped. Oops.
"Excuse me?" She said, her voice sounded annoyed.
I repeated myself. "I said, a seven goes in that box right there."
She turned around to face me, whatever comment she was going to say frozen on her face. Her eyes were taking me in, I couldn't help but smile.
She was even more gorgeous from up close. Her wavy brown hair fell perfectly past her shoulders and she had soulful brown eyes.
"No. I said 'excuse me' because your hand was in my way. Besides you just ruined the puzzle!"
That remark confused me. It was just one number...
"Well you practically solved it for me." She tried to pull off this cold look while drinking whatever was in her glass.
I couldn't help it. I laughed at how cute she looked trying to glare, the underline kindness in her features betraying her. "I gave you one number. That's hardly solving it."
She scowled. "Well that one number just so happened to unlock the last six numbers I had left!"That's some twisted logic right there. "Which leaves you with 80 numbers you did yourself." I smirked, teasing her.
I could tell by her blank stare, she had no comeback and I took that as my chance.
I stuck out my hand for her, making sure to turn the dial up on the charm. "The name's Drey."
Well this is obviously not in Desiree's point of view. I was curious to see what kind of responses I'd get on getting an insight on Drey's mind. Isn't he just so charming?! ^-^ Well I really hoped you all liked this chapter. The next chapter will be coming within the next few days, so keep a look out. As always, I appreciate you reading and your comments are encouraged! Thank you awesome people! :)
