His fingers lazily tracing the empty bed but were surprised when his newlywed wife was nowhere to be found. Peter slid off and sat on the edge of the bed. The honeymoon suite was a room with an open balcony. A cool breeze touched the warmth of his half-naked body and he shivered involuntarily as a cool breeze replaced his body heat.'You're awake.' She saw he was awake, so she walked over from the balcony and sat beside him on the bed. Fingers unravelled the loosely tied bow on her robe. He looked up, his eyes roaming down to her bare toes and back up her bare legs.
Their eyes met and at that moment, in an instant beyond time frames, he came face to face with her. There were no reasons not to love her. Beautiful, he'd called her an angel, after they first dated. Then she heard him sigh as his free hand reached on her ring finger. Peter proclaimed, 'I still couldn't believe we are a married couple now.'
She passed her tinkling hand through his hair, calling him a little rascal. One corner of her mouth went up in a smile that was as sexy as it was cynical. 'Give me a kiss', she said. He did, wanting to be gentle, letting his lips touch hers so lightly she could hardly feel it.
'All right now, I need to take a shower.' Emily said, pulling away.Once they pulled away, he let her walked away to the bathroom, then leaned back on their bed, putting his hands behind his head. He closed his eyes enjoying the feeling for a moment to determine how it felt, but after a short space of time, he struggled to open them again.

When he finally came to full consciousness, he opened his eyes to a searing, pale white light that dazzled his eyes and made him want to squint. But this time he realized that he had been sleeping half-naked on the bench by the swimming pool.
'Peter!' He searched for her face and eyes in the crowd. Emily stopped waving her hands when he spotted her and stared at him as if waiting for more. Finally, when he didn't want to join her in the swimming pool, she giggled softly and walked out of the pool to join him.
Emily's dark-eyed brunette met his gaze as she asked, 'Seeing something you like?'
He studied her intently a moment before commenting musingly. 'You look great in that yellow bikini there.'
'Come on, honey,' she pleaded, taking his hand and pulling him to his feet. She took hold of his hand and they walked out of the bench and down the pool. 'Either you don't get enough sleep or you get too much sleep.' She said with a smile and how could he ever say no to her. With that, he followed her off the bench and down to the pool.
They were still holding hands as they walked down the pool stairs when they heard what sounded like a fire siren that not only grew louder in volume but also slide upward in pitch. Everyone looked around curiously and they threw a questioning look as the hotel workers finally came around running to the pool. They shouted to each other and to the people in and around the swimming pool area. They looked scared, and Peter looked around confused at what had them so terrified. He heard someone yell the word 'tsunami', but everyone thought that had to be a joke. The blue skies above had turned to a dull grey shade and the air pressure seemed oppressive and pushing down on all sides. Peter looked up to see flocks of birds flying toward the mainland. Then, they saw the wave and everyone started shouting at once.
Emily eyes were on her husband, clutching him to her so tightly he couldn't even think. His head was spinning from the breathless confusion that had taken hold of his senses. Tears were in his eyes, but he tried to look brave. 'Oh God, I can't believe I have to say this. Emily, look at me. Listen, honey, whatever happens don't, don't you ever let go of my hand, okay?' He said, his voice cracking.
Bali resort smashed by tidal waves created by freak storm as Emily and Peter held their hands up together, and they ran as fast as they could as the roar of the wave chasing them. All around there was chaos reigned, it was hard to believe this was happening as people ran here and there. Some were screaming out for help, but no one was listening. Running as fast as they could with the sound of terror chasing them, but then the huge wave hit both of them, and they went under, desperately struggling for air. Peter swam upwards with all his strength, breaking the surface as Emily did. Then she hit her head hard on the bumper of a floating past.
'Emily!' Peter screamed, his lungs almost bursting as he screamed for her to stay conscious. 'Stay with me!'
All around him he saw people trying to stay afloat, drowning, screaming and going under. Another large wave loomed over him. He held Emily's hand tight, but as the wave picked them up, she slipped through his grasp and disappeared right before his eyes. The current pulled him down, by this time he was choking on water and screaming for help. He fought his way up to the surface, gasping for air, but he realized he had lost her tracks. Grabbing a piece of floating debris, he clung to it, screaming her name, but she was insensible to his cries and there was no reply. He called again hoping she could hear it, but there was no sight of her anywhere. She might hear it—he wasn't certain, because he had no damn idea where she was.
