'Are you recording this?' I asked tersely. It was the big day and I was putting on my wedding suit. I looked at myself over a long cheval mirror while adjusting my grey tie and straightening my black suit.

'Um hmm,' Nathan hummed to me as if he wasn't sure one way or another. I watched his face reflected in the mirror in front of me as he lifted the camera up to my face. 'Well, well, well, don't you look handsome, Peter?' Then he smiled like he'd just thought of something.

'Dude, are you feeling okay? That doesn't sound like you at all,' I replied teasingly, looking into the camera. Well, that is not how my younger brother, Nathan used to think of me because he always used to mess with me, saying he was 'the more attractive one'.  When we were little, people said we looked like twins for no better reason than we might have been wearing the same colour shirt anywhere we go. Mother was adamant she wanted a twin but two children with similar faces were close enough. 'Oh, why do I let you talk me into these things? You are my best man, for God's sake.'

I took deep breaths to calm down while adjusting my suit and tried to calmed myself down, trying not to get nervous and subconsciously pace back and forth with no destination or clear goal in mind. Nathan didn't reply, instead, he turned the camera lens toward himself, talking to the camera. 'Hey,' He said with a slightly broader smile, greeting future viewers. 'So, today is Peter's big day and would you look at that.' He turned the camera towards me and I smiled nervously towards the camera as I couldn't help but let the feeling of butterflies in my stomach came out. 'He actually looks handsome, doesn't he?'

Just before I wanted to reply, there was a knock on the door and Nathan swung the camera towards the door, still recording my special day. My eyes snapped open widely at the sound of the knock. I'm pretty sure at this point I looked at Nathan like he had three heads. I could hear some banter coming from the other side of the door, signalling their arrival. Then the door swung open, to reveal a tall, blonde woman with a handsome lad at her side.

'Mom, Dad.'

I walked past Nathan and realized that just before I did, she opened her arms and wanted me to hug her. I hugged back, resting my chin on top of her head, just like she used to do to me when I was a kid. She finally pulled away from the embrace, keeping a grip on my arms 'Oh, look at you, my handsome little boy.' She cooed happily, her eyes tearing up.

'Mom, please don't cry now, you're going to smudge your makeup. Look at you, you look so beautiful today.' I assured.

It's alright, I'm just a little emotional,' she said, dabbing at her watery eyes with a tissue. 'I just can't believe it, it's my little boy's bid day.' My Dad handed her another tissue, wrapping his arms around her as she blew her nose loudly. Dad edged closer to her side and wrapped his arms around her. My Dad had always been a quiet man, only speaking when necessary while my Mom loved to be the centre of attention. I'd heard people said that opposites attract and even I had to admit that that statement was true when it came to my Mom and Dad.

Dad patted myshoulder with his free hand. 'We're very proud of you, son.' He said smiling. 'Ihope this girl can make you very happy.' Seeing my Dad smiling every time helooked over at me could cheer me on.

'Thanks Dad.'

Then there was another knock on the door, this one much louder and furious than Mom and Dad's. Nathan opened the door to a man who appeared to be one of the ushers we hired. He let his stern gaze rest on all of us before announcing. 'It's time everyone, get ready.'
