CHAPTER 66
Do We Have To Continue Walking?
“But Huang Fei, you are going to enter the Palace. Ninth Huang Shu has specially prepared these 24 gold hairpins for you.” Yin Qiao stared helplessly at Jing Yue who looked like she was faced with an old enemy.
“I don’t care! Want to wear, you let Xiao Chen wear them himself! There is no way I’m putting them on!” A certain woman cursed angrily.
Finally, under Jing Yue’s obstinate resistance, Yin Qiao had no choice but to put those gold hairpins away. She coaxed Jing Yue for a long time before she finally managed to put two hairpins on Jing Yue’s hair. However, it seemed for Jing Yue, those were already her deepest bottom line.
“Ai (sigh)……” Jing Yue sighed in sorrow for the whole journey; ‘Go to what ghost palace? Harmed her to have not enough sleep! Really annoying ah!’
“Ninth Huang Fei, we’ve arrived.” The voice of the guard driving the carriage appeared. Jing Yue fought a yawn and languidly stepped down from the carriage.
“Really…… vibrant.” Jing Yue’s eyes widened to see the dazzling group of people before her eyes. Many ladies had put on their most gorgeous clothes; those bright beautiful dazzling colors, those delicate make ups, they were practically far better than those in a beauty pageant.
“This level of eye candies, really are the tops.” Jing Yue clicked her tongue and sighed. She turned her head around and saw ShangGuan LingLan and Ning XiangYuan the two persons walking towards her hand in hand.
“YueYue, why do you put on such a simple dress?” Ning XiangYuan spoke. She stared at Jing Yue, seemed very dissatisfied and wrinkled her eyebrows.
“E…… This……” Jing Yue stared at the exquisite, light purple formal palace dress she wore on her body. Why didn’t she feel, even for a bit, that this was simple?
“How can you not wear hair accessories?” Ning XiangYuan pulled Jing Yue’s hand and looked at her up and down, her frowns became even deeper. She stared at Jing Yue and asked earnestly: “Ninth Huang Shu didn’t buy you accessories?”
“It’s not like that…… It’s me that don’t like those kinds of things.” Jing Yue was a bit embarrassed.
“Yun momo has come, let’s go.” ShangGuan LingLan was wearing an ink blue dress. She also appeared simple and plain, and didn’t wear any head accessory. Looking at those carriages that came following Yun momo, the two of them felt helpless and glanced at each other.
Following Yun momo’s lead, everyone sat on their respective carriages and went towards the Palace. When they finally stepped down from the carriages at the Palace gate, Jing Yue saw Yun momo handed an invitation over before taking everyone into the palace. Jing Yue blinked her eyes and frowned seeing this string of complicated matters.
‘Why didn’t she meet these kinds of troubles when she entered the Palace back then?’
-Author: Bullsh*t! Don’t you see who Ninth Huang Shu is!? Who would dare to stop him? Were they courting death?-
Jing Yue, along with everyone, entered the palace through palace gate and walked grandiosely towards the Consort Goddess’ Joyous Spring Court. She was straight away stunned once she walked in the palace. She turned her head around staring at every direction just like she was looking for something.
“Jing Yue, what are you looking at?” ShangGuan LingLan frowned; she grasped Jing Yue’s hand firmly and asked.
“I’m trying to find our carriage ah! Do we have to continue walking?” Jing Yue blinked her eyes staring at ShangGuan LingLan and asked.
“You must have become stupid right? How could there be carriages? We do have to walk on our own.” ShangGuan LingLan glanced at Jing Yue and spoke.
“What!?” Jing Yue was instantly dumbfounded. She gazed at the road, which extended for no one knew how far, and felt like crying yet she had no tears; ‘Such a long road ah, when will you finish walking? It is simply asking for her life ah!’ Jing Yue suddenly felt hopeless; she hung her head down and walked following the procession.
However, the thing that really asked for her life was still far behind. No one knew whether or not the road they took towards the Joyous Spring Court was the main road, but the palanquins they met were countless. Every kind of goddess or concubines, prince or princess, their palanquins continuously appeared. Jing Yue had to kneel for so many times to the point she felt her knees were no longer her own.
