You give me so much power,
you give me so many flaws
Don't speak of me to others,
or I'll grow fangs and claws.
You draw me as a monster
you draw me as a fly,
I'm the villain and the damsel,
Even I wonder, what am I?
I'm your own creation,
so don't ask what's wrong with me.
Lies and pointed fingers
are all that I can see.
Don't say that I'm the child here
because I've been through thick and thin.
You shield yourself from judgement
to hide the shame within.
Do not tie me to you
because all I see is fake,
do not change my image
or give me more credit than I can take.
