My pencil is rappidly tapping on the desk. Come ON, I know that I know the answer to this question! I have one more before the essay question, which I have decided to finish on the second day of the test. I glance at the clock and notice that I have only one more minute before our tests are taken away for the day. The immune system! I quickly scribble down my answer and let out the breath I was holding. I peek over to see that Elle is giving me a confused look. After class, I mouth to her. She gives me a skeptical look but continues to work. Barely a few seconds later Professor Douglas announces that the test has concluded for the day. I walk up to the professor's desk and put my test in the 'Unfinished Tests' basket then pick up my backpack and follow the rest of the class out the door. Elle catches up to me and taps my shoulder.

"So, Lucy, what was that constipated look you had for?" I roll my eyes at her.

"You know me Elle. I only had one question left!" She laughs as we make our way towards the door.

I make my way past all the people with backpacks and open the doors of the Science Hall. We push out the doors and break out of the rush of students. I grab my phone out from my pocket and check the time.

"Ooh! We should go to that new corner cafe! What's it called? I don't know, something cute." Elle suggests.

I check the time again. We have about an hour before I have to go to my health sciences class.

"Cool with me. Lets go." I adjust my back pack and I follow Elle to the cafe.

----------

I stir my iced chai with the straw and take another sip. While Elle rants on about how she broke up with her last boyfriend I watch the people out the window.

I pick up my phone to see about a gazillion texts from Tyler. I quickly swipe into my phone. Most of them are asking where we are. I reply and tell him to meet us at the cafe.

".....we really need to do something about that. Don't you think so? Lucy? Oh my God Lucy! Are you even listening!!"

I snap my head back up to see Elle waving her hands in my face.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm just texting Tyler so he can talk with us. I'm sorry, what were you saying?"

"Ugh," Elle rolls her eyes, "I was saying me and Tyler should really set you up with someone. It's been almost six months since you broke up with James."

"Screw that. I'm going to give me some time to appreciate me, thank you very much." I tuck part of my tan sweater back into the waist of my ripped jeans and take another sip of my coffee. Elle just sighs and rolls her eyes again.

"Don't you care about finding your soul mate? I'm not going to stop until I find my guy." Now this is the thing that makes me feel guilty. I look down to study the small heart on my wrist. It's the first and only tattoo I've gotten. I think about the matching one that James has on his wrist. Now that we were broken up, it just seemed like it was devoid of any meaning.

"I do care, I just think the time will come when it's right."

"Hmph. Whatever you say." Elle rolls her eyes for the umpteenth time and picks up her coffee cup to take a sip.

Behind me I hear the Bell on the door jingle as someone walks in. I turn immediately to see not Tyler, but my least favorite person I've ever known.

Oliver slings his arm around a blonde girl with bright blue eyes. Ugh, what a basic playboy. He runs his fingers through his jet black hair. His own blue eyes look full of life, until he lays his eyes on me. He narrows his eyes and a sly smile spreads across his face. I quickly turn away but he caught my eyes right before I looked down at my cinnamon roll. I can hear him walk up behind me and pull two chairs up to me and Elle's table. He plops down and his new girl drapes herself over him as she sits down in the seat next to him.

"Go away, Oliver." I say in a harsh tone as I start to pick at my baked good with a fork.

"Aww, nice to see you too."  He says sarcastically. I flip him off and pull my dark brown hair behind my head to take a bite of cinnamon roll off my fork.

"So I heard you have a health sciences class later today..." He says.

"Where did you hear that?" I ask suspiciously.

"Never mind that, do you have professor LaPlante?"

"Ugh. Yes. I'm now assuming you do too?" I roll my eyes.

"Yep!" He pops the 'p' and it just makes me want to kick him but smile at him at the same time. Ugh!! Why is my body so frustrating!

"Come on babe," the girl tugs on Oliver's arm and for a second I think I see guilt in Oliver's eyes.

Everyone knows that Oliver's a playboy and just dumps girls right after he leads them on. I never thought he actually felt bad about that though...

"I guess I'll see you later then?" He asks, hopeful.

"Yahuh. You can leave now." I wave my hand in attempt to shoo him off. He saunters off with his girl and I can't help but stare. I'm still amazed that such a beautiful person would be so horrible. Did I just call him beautiful? My god I guess I really did need this coffee.

As soon as Oliver and the blonde leave the coffee shop Elle turns to me with a mischievous smile. My stomach drops. I know she's got something planned for me.

"That's it!!" She exclaims.

"What? Oliver? Oh no. God no. I am not dating him no matter what you say. He would be the last person I would ever want to date on the face of the Earth." I push my chair away from the table.

"Oh hell yes. I am going to make this happen!" She squeals.

"No matter what you say, nothing's going to change my mind." Elle sighs but then perks up. I look over to her, confused.

"Maybe I won't be able to, but he definitely will!" I turn around to see my only weakness walk in; Tyler.
