FYI CHRISTINA ARRIVED ON A THURSDAY IT IS NOW SUNDAY.
~~~~~
"Daddy, please. Come home." I cry into the phone. It's been a year since he's left. I don't even know why he left. All I know is that he doesn't want to come back home.
"I can't love. I'm sorry." He says in his English accent.
"Fine. Don't come home. And don't call me' love' either." I am done. I truly am.
"Christinia don't be like that. You know I can't come back home." He says upset.
"Do I? Do I Really?"
"Christina I-"
"No no more excuses! Just tell me!"
"I...I can't."
"Fine. If you don't want to tell me, then I'm done. I'm done! I'm done trying to make an effort when you won't. I'm tired of wasting my time and energy on you. I'm tired of crying every night wishing you'd come back. Goodb-" I'm now crying with anger.
"Chrissy please don't."
"I'm done." I say quietly sniffling and I stop crying. "Goodbye Robert."
"Chris-" I hang up. This is the last time I will ever talk to him. I go to the kitchen and grab the bottle of rum. I pour it into a glass and sit down on the table head in my hands crying and I take the drink down in five gulps. I'm about to pour another glass when I stop. I am not going to be like him. I am not going to stoop down to his level. I put the lid back on and put it back into the cabinet. I wash the glass and go to take a shower. Today will be the last day I ever care about him.Today is the last day I will let him hurt me.
~~~~~
I woke up from my dream and think to myself... I lied. I continued to care for him for a long time actually. I mean, how could I not? He is my father after all. I also lied never letting him hurt me ever again. Even though he wasn't there and I didn't talk to him, he still hurt me. I was hurt for a long time actually and I still am. When my mom was diagnosed with cancer I was hurt and I cried for days because he wasn't there. He wasn't there to hold me tight and tell me that everything was going to be okay and that we could all fight this together. He wasn't there to help when we needed him most. Then when things got bad with Justin, again, he wasn't there. He wasn't there to help me. He wasn't there to comfort me or save me from Justin and I truly gave up on him.
I grab my phone, my new phone that is and check the time and it's 9:23. I get up and make my bed and walk to the bathroom to do my usual morning routine which is wash my face and brush my hair and teeth. I make my way down the stairs and Victoria and Robert aren't in the kitchen so they must still be sleeping. I look in the pantry for the first time since I've been here and it's full of food. There are mainly organic foods and there aren't many canned foods so I know that they're healthy eaters for the most part. I decide that I want to make them breakfast and I'm thinking about what to make and I see the waffle mix. I'm going to make apple pie waffles. It sounds weird but I learned how to make them in cooking class last year and they tasted pretty good. I grab the waffle mix, brown sugar, regular sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and vegetable oil spray.  I close the pantry and I grab apples off the counter then I open the fridge and grab milk, butter, and heavy cream. I look in the cabinets for a mixing bowl, waffle maker, and an automatic mixer for the whipped cream I'm going to make. I grab them out of the pantry one at a time and set them on the counter. I am looking through all  the cabinets again trying to find a pan and I finally find them after opening six cabinets. I turn the stove on low heat and add butter, brown sugar and vanilla to the pan and let it heat up. As its melting I grab a knife out of the drawer and I grab a cutting board from underneath the cabinet. I peal the two apples and chop them into small pieces and by now, the butter mixture is almost completely melted so I mix it with a wooden spoon and add the apples which causes a little bit of a sizzle. As the apples are slowly cooking to golden perfection, I grab the waffle mix and add the milk and a little bit of heavy cream so its creamy. I taste a piece of the carmalized apples and it tastes pretty good based on my memory. I add it to the waffle mix and stir the ingredients together and taste it one last time to make sure that the waffle mix itself tastes good and it does. I turn on the waffle cooker thingy, I'm so good with words... anyways, as its heating up I pour the heavy cream, vanilla, and sugar into the automatic mixer and set it on four so it can mix evenly. I spray the waffle maker and pour the waffle mix into it and flip it once its been a few minutes so the other side can cook and do the same for the next two that I make. (I apologize for the food in here. I got really hungry and these sounded good for breakfast so yeah. It isn't an actual recipe but it should be. If you would like, I can maybe look it up, and add a link. Anyways, back to the story.)
