BANG!
Both of our heads snapped towards the door.
"Did you hear that?" Liam whispered, hobbling over to the door.
"Its probably nothing, Liam go sit back down! I'll check it out."
I walk over towards him as he steps out in the hall, leaning on his good leg.
"Hey! Did anyone here that?" He calls out.
Then there was a loud pitch scream.
"Liam...get back in the room." I whisper hanging on to his torso. And thats when I see him.
A boy not much older than me covered in blood slowly approaches us, his eyes a sickening white.
A Wendigo. It has to be...
Then a familiar name popped into my head. Sean Walcott.
It's definitely him.
"Sean. You don't need to do this, let us help you." I said calmly trying not to show my fear as he walks toward us. A deviant grin plastered on his bloody face.
I tried to pull Liam back into the room but Sean lunged, knocking me against the wall.
"Arden!"
My vision was getting blurry and I felt dizzy.
But I saw as Sean knocked Liam down, grabbing him by the foot, dragging him up the stairs and out to the roof of the hospital.
"No! No, let go of me! Please, Arden!" Liam yelled.
I felt my energy being restored as I followed them up to the roof. Hopefully Scott will come, I don't know if I can fight and save Liam all by my self.
When I reached the roof, Sean had Liam dangaling off the roof by his hand.
I ran at him, my claws replacing my nails and slashed at Sean ,only causing him to drop Liam.
"Liam!" I yelled.
Right when he dropped, Liam's hand caught onto the ledge of the building.
"Arden!"
Scott. Thank god.
Scott and I both fully wolfed up, ready to face Sean again.
"Sean, everything will be fine, we can help you." Scott said, gesturing towards me and him.
For a second I saw a bit of sadness but it was quickly replaced with anger. "Wendigo's don't need help! We need food!" He cried.
And with that I lunged at him, pushing him down onto the concrete floor.
But Sean quickly bit me with his sharp teeth and threw me off of him, making me hit hard on the floor. Once again my vision started to blur, and black splotches filled the air. Then I realized something.
Liam was still hanging off the edge of the roof.
I looked up at Scott as he battled against Sean. "Scott! Liam, he's...still hanging...off of...the roof..."
I started to feel more dizzy and black splotches were scattered across my sight.
"I-I can't hold on much longer!" Liam screeched.
Before I could get to him, Scott ran over and bit him, throwing him over the ledge right beside me.
All I could focus on was Liam's thrashing body and his piercing screams, I didn't even see what happened with Scott and Sean.
Instead I reached my hand out and grabbed Liam's. He looked over at me in concern, squeezing my hand in reassurance.
I looked into his bright blue eyes one more time before I completely blacked out.
