oh! the neon lights shine up in the sky. i'm a king lost in time with no queen. the surf whips the rocks harshly and everything is lost in cold goosebumps that jump up on my skin like fifty million pins. the lights in miami are a lost, retreating vision of despair and i crack my crown underfoot. i protect myself in leather jackets and boots, don't touch my cheek and don't try and kiss me without an invitation.

i'm a ghost in your room giving you a visitation. so don't scream and don't show hesitation. but i'm chilly now so please warm me up now, put on a dress and dance in the road, be a little dangerous and believe me you won't be famous. you'll be infamous and a daredevil when you think a little and decide to live a little, yeah you should revel. for real.

snow and rain shouldn't hurt you. they'll stick it on your tombstone that you were really rather careful. hear the sirens coursing through the cityscape!

we can be shady together, steal a muscle car and go drag racing and go doughnut crazy, maybe you'd love a movie or a ride along the sea. or we can slow it down and sit on green grass and see the world through slow, serious eyes and watch how the innocents around us say bye with bitter breaths and tears cramming their eyelids.

my kingdom is tiny. it encompasses me and that's it. i'm enough and that's it. you're too much because you possess swagger and when you're with me there's too much attention so i'll just leave you here while i float away to my city that's lost. it's atlantis.
