Klance - My Beloved Prince

Chapter One - Lance

" Princess Allura?" My voice tensed as I examined her picture. She was lovely, indeed, but the kingdom was unfamiliar. Traveling to an unknown kingdom to be attacked? Or welcomed? Should I even believe that such a person exists in this fairy tale of a place. 

" Prince Lance, she would love to meet you, and awaits your response," the messenger bowed below me. His body tensed as I stood up and made my way over to him. He seemed to expect the worst. Or was he just scared of me because I was an outsider?

" I will go. I shall hope to meet your gorgeous princess," I held my voice strong to not show any doubt. Even if I was walking into a trap, I would be prepared. I wasn't going to let this fake kingdom try to destroy my fathers accomplishments. 

" Incredible!" The messenger exclaimed, " I'm sorry sire, but you're the first one to accept and invitation to our kingdom!" His excitement confused me. Was this just an act to secure I'll really come to his trap? Or was this kingdom real? Only one way to find out.  

" You! Fetch my things and I shall depart tomorrow," my man servant, Bii-Boh-Bi, rushed out of the room. " I allow you a room while I get my things ready," the servant below me rose and scampered out of my room. 

" Hmm? What have I gotten myself into Blue?" soft fur caressed my hand and slid along my leg. I looked down to my side and ran my hand through Blue's beautiful admiral blue fur. Blue's fur suited his appearance marvelously and made him look ever so handsome. My magnificent lion is one of a kind! Not only that his personality suits mine as well, we're a match made in heaven. 

" If anything happens you'll be there with me, right boy?" I cuddled Blue's face in my hands and nuzzled my face with his, he's so warm. " If I were and animal, I would want to be you, beautiful!" 

" Sire, is it really wise to travel?" Matt stood in front of me holding a tray of food. He seemed to pop out of nowhere and disappear randomly.  

" Are you worried?" A smile glided across my face.

" Yes." 

" Hah! That's unwanted concern," Matt was always straightforward with his feelings, but I don't want to trouble people. 

" Does your father know? He'd be worried," Matt set the food down in front of me. 

" Did you poison it? That would be a tragedy."

" It would, then one of your younger siblings would take the crown," Matt's statement was true, and hurt. 

" Geez, my heart," I gripped my shirt tightly and leaned on Blue. 

" Eat your food and go to bed since it looks like you have an appointment tomorrow," Matt bowed and slipped out of the room. 

" Well, looks like it's just me, you Blue, and the two guards at the door . . . shall we take our food and head to our room," Blue stood up and sauntered towards the door.

" Hey Blue! Wait for me!" It seemed like my journey would be a life changer no matter what happens, I just hope it changes for the best.
