~James' POV~

It's been a few days that Tommy has visited me for, and I've started to kinda grow attached to him.
Like I said, don't get attached. He's gonna leave.
'Stupid voices'
I can still hear inside you head, anything you think. Don't call me stupid.
"But you are stupid, I want to get rid of you so badly, but you keep coming back!"
I get you don't like me, but I'm here to help you!
"That's what you said when I slowly killed off my parents."
Yeah but they deserved it, they were assholes.
"I can agree with that, but I could have just ran away. Now I'm here."
I heard the metal door open, a poofy haired man poked his head in. "Hey Jemmy, who you talking to?" Asked Thomas, stepping into the room completely and shutting the door behind him. "Just myself I guess." I smiled at him and then noticed he was carrying a briefcase-like thing.

"W-What's that?" I pointed at the case, getting a bit nervous of what might be inside. "Well I'm staying a little longer today," As soon as he said that, a huge smile spread across my face and I couldn't stop it. "And you said you liked to do art, so I brought some paints and a canvas." I jumped off the bed excitedly as he stared to pull everything out. He set up the easel and set a canvas along it, also pulling out different paints and brushes.

I eagerly took a brush and dipped it in some back paint, starting to draw an outline on the canvas. "What are you gonna paint Jemmy?" Thomas asked, peeking over my shoulder. "I'm gonna paint a crow, there my favourite animal."
I said, starting to fill in the crow as Thomas sat down on my bed. "Oh? And why is that?" He asked, crossing his legs on the bed. Suddenly I was hit with flashbacks, left right and centre.

"You stupid child! You can't do anything right!" My dad screamed. He grabbed me and threw me out the front door, my face hitting the scratchy grass on our lawn. "You atta be taught a lesson." He said, walking to me and hovering over my body. I quivered, my body shaking like it did every time he did this. He brought his foot up to stomp on me as I squeezed my eyes shut, but no pain came.

I slowly opened my eyes, only to find a crow flying around my 'dads' head as he continued to try and swat it away. I ran into the house and up the stairs into my room. I locked it and leaned against the door, letting my body slowly slide down the wood. 'Thank god that that crow came. But out of all the animals I was least expecting a crow....' I thought. I soon heard the front door slam open and angry stops flooded the house.

"James Madison! Get your ass down here, now!" I heard my so called father yell. I knew I was going to get into more shit if I didn't go, but I didn't move. "James!"
"James!"
"James!"
I snapped out of it, only to find Thomas with his hands on my shoulders and a concerned look on his face. My breathing started to pick up in speed. 'Not now! Please!' But my body didn't listen. It got so bad I could barley breath as I just kept thinking about mother and father. Suddenly I felt two arms wrap around me and I flinched, then soon realized Thomas had pulled me into his embrace, whispering sweet nothings in my ear.

My breathing calmed down a bit, going to a normal pace so I could actually feel air going into my lungs again. Thomas went to pull away, but I grabbed onto his back, signalling him to stay. He chuckled and wrapped his arms around my waist again as I placed my hands on his chest, nuzzling my face into the soft fabric of his magenta button up. We stayed like that for a while until he spoke again.

"Would you like me to put the paints stuff away for today and we can just talk until I go?" He said, to which I quickly nodded. He chuckled at my actions, putting a hand under my chin and tilted my head so I could see his face. He planted a soft kiss on my forehead before turning around and cleaning up the paint supplies. I just stood there like an idiot, shocked and flustered. But after the shock subsided, I just giggled like a love struck school girl before going to my bed and laying down, my hands behind my head.

Thomas soon joined me, mimicking my pose. I looked up to him and his gaze was already fixed to mine. He patted his chest, signifying that I lay my head there. I slowly picked up my head and set it on my chest, putting an ear to his chest so I could hear his heartbeat. He lifted a hand to my head and started to play with my curls, which made me purr a bit. I gently closed my eyes and just listened to his even breathing that seemed to go in rhythm with his heartbeat. I smiled as I felt his other hand wrap around my waist. 'I have fallen head over heals for this man..."
