~3rd person~
Thomas just got a job at a mental hospital. He was currently broke, and yes you read that right, Thomas was broke. Martha Jefferson, Thomas' wife, had left him and took all of his money with her. He got together with Washington and he offered him a job at the mental hospital he ran, and that leads us to right now.
"Jefferson! Glad to see you didn't chicken out." He heard Washington's voice boom as he walked down the halls. "Bright and early sir. I couldn't thank you enough for the job though, I'm honestly broke." Thomas said, rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment, but Washington just pat him on the back. "It's ok. Glad I could help son." Thomas nodded at him as they walked down the hall to Thomas' new patient. "Who will my client be?" Thomas asked as he walked down the white hallways, the paint was now turning a bit yellow though from it not being repainted in a while.
"Your going to be watching someone named James Madison. He was currently separated from the rest because is a little more... dangerous." Thomas looked at Washington in fright, but he just chuckled back at Thomas. "You can change if you want to, a lot of people have... now that I think about it, are you sure you want to try James first?" He said, looking at Thomas with a worried glance. "I've got to give him a try sir, you said a lot of people have left him, maybe no one understands him." Thomas said, looking at the floor while they walked.
Washington came to a complete stop at a single door in the hallway, no other doors around it. "Here we are son. Just remember, the button if anything happens." Washington said, gesturing to the red button clipped to the side of Thomas' pants. "Will do sir." He said, saluting as Washington walked away. He looked at the door one more time. The number 275 was written in fine gold lettering but the door itself was a light blue with a lock on the door, requiring a passcode to get in.
Thomas punched in his passcode, and was satisfied with the little beeps it gave out every time he pressed a number. He slowly opened the door, only to find a man in a grey sweater and dark jeans, sitting on his bed scribbling something down in a book. He had chocolate coloured skin with short curly hair atop his head, his face looked concentrated as he stuck his tongue out the side of his mouth, which Thomas found adorable right away.
Thomas cleared his throat and the mans head shot up to look at him, which ended up in him slamming the book closed as he continued to sit criss-cross on the bed. "Hi there! James right?" Thomas started, still not sure what to say. The man nodded and looked down at his sleeves as he started to fiddle with them. "My name is Thomas, I'll be your new therapist." He said, walking up to the side of the rickety bed.
He looked around to find the room was painted a dark grey colour while the floor was a light wood, there was also a small table with a chair in the corner of the small room and no windows. So Thomas grabbed the chair and put it over beside the bed so he could talk to James. "So we'll spend the week getting to know each other first, then next week we can work on the therapy thing, alright?" James nodded and muttered 'I bet you won't even stay that long.' But Thomas couldn't quite hear him. "I'm sorry, what was that darlin'?" He asked, his southern accent showing.
"N-Nothing." James said, making his eyes meet Thomas'. "My, so you do speak." Thomas said jokingly, making James giggle a bit. "Of course silly, I may have disorders, but being mute isn't one of them. Didn't you read my file?" James said, looking at Thomas with curious eyes. "Not yet, I'll have to do that when I finish up with you today. But for now, let's get to know each other." Thomas said, leaning back in his chair a bit.
"So James, lets start with an easy one. How old are you?" He said, looking as James uncrossed his legs and sat at the edge of the bed. "Well, I'm 22. How old are you Thomas?" He said, pointing his gaze at Thomas' floofy hair. "I'm not to much ahead of you Jimmy James, I'm 24." Thomas said, getting up from the chair and gesturing to the bed beside James.
"May I?" He said, pointing to the spot beside James. "U-Uh... no.. not t-this time." James said, getting really nervous all the sudden. "Alright, I'll respect your space." Thomas said, going to sit back in the chair until he looked at his watch.
"Sorry Jimmy James, looks like it's my time to go. Today was a bit short because it was the first day, but tomorrow will be longer, alright?" Thomas said, facing James who just nodded. "Alright, see ya lat-" Thomas started, but was cut off quickly by James. "W-Wait!" He said, holding his hand out, just before Thomas walked out the door.
"Yes?" He said, looking back at James. "A... Are you actually going to stay two weeks?" James asked, going down to play with the sleeves of his sweater again, he obviously did that when he was nervous. "Of course darlin', I'm not giving up on you that easily." Thomas said, catching a glimpse of James smile before he walked fully out the door.
'He is way to pure, how could he ever be dangerous?' Thomas thought as he walked down the corridor, heading home for the day.
