What happened?

Cole's POV
I woke up with Scarlett in my arms. She looks so peaceful when she's sleeping. I looked at the alarm clock on my bedside table and saw in was 8:31. Time to get up. I snuck out of bed and had a shower. By the time I got back into the room Scarlett was gone. I looked around the room and in the closet. Where was she?
After getting dressed I walked down to the kitchen to grab my breakfast. Before I entered I heard an amazing laugh. So this is where she went. And sure enough, sat at the breakfast bar was Scarlett. Chatting with Chelsea as usual.
Those two were definitely best friends. They did everything together.
'Morning girls. Do you know where Scott is?'
The two of them looked at me and shook their heads.
'He was gone before I woke up' Chelsea said looking a bit sad. I nodded, grabbed some toast and went to my
Office.
Sat in my office was Scott. He was flicking through some papers on my new desk.
'Morning. What you doing?' I asked him as I sat down, eating my toast.
'There was another dead wolf at the border. This one also had a note on it.' He handed me the note and I began to read it. The time had come. You mate will be mine. After all, she is no longer yours Alpha and she is so special. Yours truly....'
I let a thunderous growl rumble through my chest. This person has been threatening Scarlett for years.
I know I should've told her, but I didn't want her to know. I guess it's time she knows because I need to know what happened whilst she was away

Scarlett's POV
After eating breakfast with Chelsea I decided to go and see my family.
I walked to our family home. As usual, the pathway was clean and the grass was freshly cut.
I knocked on the door and waited for a response. In a few seconds my brother Scott opened the door.
'Hey buddy, I missed you.' I pulled him into a tight hug. He hugged back immediately. 'I missed you too Scar. Where've you been?' I smiled at him.
'Here and there. Where's mum? And did you see my challenge for Luna?' I asked. He smiled at me, ' Mum's in the kitchen. And of course I saw you challenge for Luna. IT WAS AWESOME!' I let go of him and ruffled his hair.
'I'm going to see if I can find mum.' I waved and walked into the house. It hasn't changed at all. I walked through the small living Into the kitchen. My mum sat at the kitchen table with her coffee.
'Hey mum, did you miss me?' She spun around.
'Scarlett? Oh my, Scarlett. I've missed you so much.' She pulled me into another one of her famous, bone crushing hugs.
'I am so proud of you, my little Luna.' I pulled away and smiled. I've missed my mum. I knew I couldn't stay here too long. I need to go and help Cole with some work. He mindlinked me about 20 minutes ago saying he needed some help.
'Hey mum, it was lovely to catch up but I need to go. Luna duties' she nodded and gave me one last hug.
I walked towards the pack house, but something felt different. The air was colder and the sky was darker. I just felt like I was being watch. My head was whipping from side to side to see who was watching me. By the time I made it to the pack house I saw no one.
That was odd.
'Come in.' Cole said before I even had a chance to knock. I walked in to find him sat at his desk and Beta Scott was sat on the sofa in the corner.
'Luna' Scott bowed his head. I nodded mine and looked at Cole.
'You said you needed help.' He looked at me and nodded towards the seat in front of his desk. I sat down and waited for him to begin.
'So Scarlett. I need you to tell me exactly who is after you.' Cole's voice held so much power. How did he find out about this. I tried to keep it a secret.
'I don't know what your taking about.'
Cole narrowed his eyes.
'Don't lie to me. We've been getting threats which are all aimed at you, some wants you Scarlett. And we need to know who.' I gulped. It was all going to come out.
'Look, I don't know who this person is. All I know is he is a rogue. I have been running from him for a few years now. Ever since I shifted. I guess he saw my wolf and was intrigued.' I sent a
shrug towards Cole and he sighed.
'Well whoever they are, they are coming. Soon'
My heart sank. This meant an attack on the pack. Once again it was all my fault. I stood up and left his office. All I could do now is wait for the attack to come.
This day has been so eventful. I decided I was best to get into bed and go to sleep. So that's exactly what I did.
