5SOS-Preference #1: Coming Home

Ashton: The house was quiet. Very quiet. Too quiet. The ticking of the clock in the kitchen was the only sound, apart from your breathing. Ashton had been gone for much too long, and you didn't know how much more silence and loneliness you could take. He always set a time to call or Skype you, and the current appointment was quickly approaching. The complete silence, lacking of music or the hum of the sounds of the TV, was to ensure you didn't miss Ashton's call. He had texted that he had important news to share, and you were hopeful it would be good, however, you weren't certain and had been a nervous, lonely wreck all day. Of course you had friends and family that kept you company, but all of them were busy or traveling, so you were left to wallow in self-pity after work. Suddenly, a loud sound startled you from your reverie. The first lines of Ash's demo recording of She Looks So Perfect, his ringtone, played from you phone. Eagerly, you slid the lock and accepted the call. "Hi, Ash! How are you? What did you want to tell me? Is everything okay? Did you-" You were cut off by Ashton's thick accent. "Hey, Y/N! Calm down, everything is fine!" "Oh, right, sorry," you stuttered out, a bit embarrassed by your outburst of emotions. "Don't worry about it, love! I have something to tell you, and I think you'll like it," Ashton began, "I'm coming home tomorrow!" Your face split into a wide grin, and you were certain it could be heard when you began speaking. "Are you serious, Ash? That's amazing! I thought you had to spend a week in L.A. after the tour finished to record, though." Ashton responded, "That was the original plan, but we all need a break, and we recorded more than we had to last time, so it won't hold us back at all." "That's great Ashton, I'm really, really happy. I've been missing you a lot." "I've been missing you too, Y/N. I can't wait to see you!" You two chatted for a few more minutes before Ashton had to excuse himself to go pack. However, this time, you weren't so sad about having to say goodbye because very soon, you'd be able to give him a hug hello.

Luke: You impatiently tapped your foot during your English class. You weren't even listening to the lecture anymore, all you could concentrate on was Luke's arrival in exactly thirty minutes and forty-seconds. You watched as the seconds ticked away, they seemed to be moving slower and slower as the class dragged on. You and Luke hadn't been able to see each other apart from Skype, for several months. It had been impossible with your busy schedules. This year, you had begun university, and Luke had been touring and recording with the band like crazy, so you had very limited free time, and none that actually matched up. However, you finally had some free time and Luke was coming home before going on tour with the One Direction boys, and you couldn't wait to see your boyfriend. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the class ended. You already had your books and notes collected and you rushed out the door, and sprinted to your car. You shoved your keys into the ignition, and snapped in your seatbelt before tearing out of the parking lot. As you sped down the road to the airport, you cursed every slow person out driving because you just wanted to see your boyfriend, and why couldn't they MOVE? After what seemed like years, but was really just twenty minutes (record time to the airport), you pulled into a parking place. You eagerly checked your phone for messages, hoping Luke's plane had somehow landed early and he was already waiting for you. However, you had no such luck, and his smiling face just stared back at you on the lock screen. So, anxiously, you made your way into the airport, near baggage claim, to await Luke's arrival. Only twenty minutes, you thought, I can do this. The minutes passed agonizingly slow, but, at last, your phone buzzed and a message popped up, "See you in a few.-L" You had to struggle to contain your excitement, and settled for a grin rivaling the Cheshire cat's instead of annoying squealing. You looked around making sure you wouldn't miss Luke walking toward you. This continued for several minutes and you began to worry you went to the wring area, when arms suddenly circled your waist. You inhaled to have enough breath to scream for help, but noticed a comforting scent. "Luke?" You asked whirling around. "Hey Y/N," He said smiling, "I've missed you." You embraced him and knew that your break with Luke would be absolutely amazing.

Michael: You blinked your eyes sleepily, waking up. You were about to roll over and look at the clock when you noticed something different about the bed. There seemed to be extra weight on the other side and you knew that nothing had been there when you went to bed. Cautiously, you turned your head; your body following. Your rotation brought you face to face with...Michael? "Michael? What are you doing here?" You questioned, somewhat alarmed. You nudged him, helping him to wake up, and he began to move. "Huh, who's there?" He muttered, half asleep. "Michael! Wake up!" You demanded. "Oh, mornin' Y/N. How are you?" He said, his morning voice as attractive as ever. You felt discombobulated due to Michael's sudden presence and blinked again before speaking."I'm confused. I thought you were supposed to be with the boys, so why are you in the bed? Next to me. Definitely not in the studio in another country." "Oh, we have a few days off before working in the studio, and I decided I wanted to spend them here, with you." Michael responded as though it were obvious. "Really? That's great Mikey!" You squealed, now much more awake than before. You had been so lonely without him, so having Michael home, even for just a few days, would be amazing. You wanted to spend every moment possible together, and you voiced this to Michael. "What do you want to do first? We could go to a movie this afternoon. Or maybe go shopping. Or even go-" "Love, calm down!" Michael said, stopping you mid-word. "How about we decide later and just rest together for a little while. I'm exhausted right now, and I won't be much fun to be with unless I sleep. As much as I want to spend time with you, I also want to be awake enough to remember it!" You blushed, embarrassed that you'd forgotten how busy Michael had been lately, and how little rest he had gotten. "Of course, sorry Mikey," you replied. "Don't worry about it Y/N," Michael said, wrapping his arms around you; effectively pulling you in for a cuddle. "Let's just relax together." You settled into his arms, a smile turning up the corners of your mouth. "I'm glad your home Michael," you whispered into his chest. "I'm glad I am too, Y/N," Michael murmured into your hair, planting a soft kiss where his words had landed.

Calum: You hummed as you washed the dishes, attempting to fill the silence of the room. It had been weeks since you had seen Calum. You had visited on tour once, but he was so busy that you were barely able to spend time together. Since then, work and school had been hectic, so your only communication with Calum had been through hurried phone calls and Skype sessions with sporadic texting; all done at random moments due to the timezone differences. Calum was flying in today, and you were going to meet him at the airport, but you were expecting him to spend the night with his family because he had been missing them even more than usual recently. Due to this, you expected to have to endure another lonely night after just a few minutes of Calum's partial attention. This thought made you sigh as you turned off the faucet, cutting of the stream of hot water. You couldn't wait to have Calum all to yourself again, if only for a few days. You knew you sounded selfish, but it was true. You were aware of how much Calum loved what he did, and how much his fans meant to him, and you were extremely proud of hum, but you missed spending one-on-one time with Calum. You missed the lazy Saturday afternoons, spent talking to each other, while exchanging kisses and sweet caresses. Now, you had to share Calum with the entire world, and it made you quite upset at times such as this. However, you tried to shake the unpleasant thoughts from your head as a text from Calum caused your phone to light up, "Twenty minutes before landing, can't wait to see you! xxx" A smile grew on your face as you read the message. The text prompted you to hurry to your car, and head off to the airport. When you arrived, a group of girls waited outside, seemingly for your boyfriend. You tried not to let your annoyance show as you carefully weaved around people, and made your way into the building. Another text showed on your screen, "Just got luggage, where are you?" You looked around, hoping to spot Calum's face. After a full rotation, your eyes met Calum's brown eyes. "Cal!" you shrieked, throwing your arms around him, molding your body to his. "Y/N! I'm so happy to see you! I can't wait to spend the next few weeks with you," He said, his breath causing your hair to tickle your neck. "What?" you questioned, pulling away from him slightly. "I thought you would want to spend time with your family. "Sure I do, but I want you with me too. I've missed you a lot. You man just as much to me as my family, you're practically part of it." He responded, instantly quieting your earlier worries. "Really Cal? That means a lot to me," you said, tears forming in your eyes due to all of the emotions. "Of course, Y/N! Now come on, we have some catching up to do! And the rest of the family to visit!"

A/N: Sorry I haven't posted in so long, school has been ridiculously busy, plus I'm playing tennis everyday now. Also, sorry that all of the boys aren't equal length, I'm working on making them closer! As always, requests are open and welcome! I also appreciate feedback, good and bad! Hope everyone is doing well:)
