Chapter 5 part 2 - Friday

Mitzu's POV

One early Friday morning, I woke up because Daichi invited me to come to the beach today. I think he wants me to loosen up a bit because I'm still caught up to my studies. I do love reading books but I know he just want me to not overwork myself. I got up from my bed and I arranged the bed sheets, to prepare it for use. I remove all pillows and blankets from my bed. I made the bed with fresh sheets. I straighten the sheets and blankets neatly. This can refer to what I do each morning when I get up. I reach for my phone in the small table beside my bed. I texted him and waited for him to text me back but he didn't see my texts and he didn't reply. Maybe he overslept. What if he won't show up? Maybe he won't come. i thought. I tried to shake my negative thoughts so I get away from my phone and get ready as soon as possible. I head towards my bathroom and reach for my toothbrush and put toothpaste in it. I brush my teeth and after that I take a bath. I dry my hair by using my towel. I came out from my bathroom and head towards my closet. I pick a simple but elegant dress and a cute swimsuit to go with for the beach outing. I cook some pancakes with maple syrup, oats with cow milk and small slices of fruits such as raspberry, blueberry and strawberry on top of the oats to make it healthier to eat. Instead of chocolate, I put maple syrup on top of the pancakes. Even though maple syrup does contain some nutrients and antioxidants, it is also very high in sugar. Replacing refined sugar with pure, quality maple syrup is likely to yield a net health benefit, but adding it to your diet will just make things worse so I put enough amount of it on top of the pancakes and besides I made these just for today's outing. When I'm ready to go, I reach for my phone once more and look at my phone to see if he sees my messages already but unfortunately he didn't. I waited for so long until I lost hope and lost interest to be online tonight. He's unbelievable ...I thought we're going to the beach this morning. I was patiently waiting for him but he didn't come. I even dress up for him and I cooked our breakfast for the outing. Why him, Mitzu? Out of all the man in this world, why did I choose him?

Daichi's POV

I woke up because of the sound of my alarm on my phone.

*Ring Ring*

♠Snooze ♠                                          ♠Dismiss ♠

*Tap*

*Turn off*

Yes, I set the alarm to 2:00 in the morning. Huh, that's weird... I have a bad feeling that I set my alarm to 2:00 p.m. I open the curtains of my room. Why is it sunny in the 2:00 in the morning?

"What time is it?", I yawned and rub my sleepy eyes while I check my phone to see what is the time and to my surprise, it's 2:00 in the afternoon.                                                                                  

"What the?!?! I forgot to set my alarm in A.M.", my eyes widened by the fact I overslept and keep Mitzu waiting. 

What kind of a man am I? I invited her to relax and now I think I'm dead. She's mad at me because I make her wait for so long.

When I sent the message, I realized that she really cares about me. That was irresponsible of me. I'm so sorry, Mitzu. I didn't mean to overslept. I waited hours and hours for Mitzu to be online again but she never did.
