Chapter 7 part 2 - Saudade

Something inside of me broke. It breaks my heart that I didn't love someone who I truly want to be with. 

"I-I miss you so much despite by the fact I was mad at you by leaving me without a word.", I hug him tightly while I shed tears. 

"I know.", he pats my head and then he added "Thanks for waiting for me, Mitzu. I appreciate it. You might not know this... But I'd go out of my way just to make sure you're okay even if my father is against me. That wouldn't stop me from seeing you."

"But why?", I looked at him while still in his arms and then he smiled at me "Because you're special to me, you may not realize it but you truly are. I miss you lots, not talking to you breaks my heart into a million little pieces."

His words even make me cry even more. 

"W-why me? O-out of all the people, why choose me? I'm far from perfect.", my voice trembles. 

"Nobody's perfect, Mitzu and you knew that already. Just because we're not close anymore doesn't mean I don't care."

*sob sniff sob*

"T-thank you for looking out for me."

"You're always welcome.", he then starts the engine of his car and begin to drive again while I'm still in his arms.

What is this warm fuzzy feeling? 

After going on and on about this road, we reach our destination which is the school. He parked his car near the school. I let go of him because I don't want him to think that I'm clingy. He went outside his car and lend me a hand. I reach for his hand and hop off his car. He lets go of my hand afterwards. Many people stared at us. 

"The school seems crowded today."

"So it seems. Has your school always this crowded?"

"I've never seen this much people in my entire life."

"I see..."

Every corner we go, whispers and stares everywhere.

"Oh my gosh, is that a Lamborghini?", two girls come up to Tetsuya while playing with their hair.

"Uhmmm... hello? Do you have some place to be?"

"You're handsome, go out with me, will you?", the blonde haired girl seduces Tetsuya.

The black haired girl shoves the blonde haired girl, "No, go out with me instead!"

They totally ignored me.

"Sorry, I'm not interested.", he rejected them coldly.

"Kyaa, I love him already!"

"So cold~!"

After what they heard from him, they still like him? The heck is wrong with them? One person after another approach us. After that, an enormous amount of girls tries to approach him. 

He then holds my delicate hand and force our way out in his situation. We ran away from them as fast as we can so no one will follow us. We were packed with sweat after running around the campus and we find the perfect hiding spot.

"Where are they?", they search for us.

"Let's look over there!", they marched away from our hiding spot.

"Phew, I'm glad that's over."

"I-I think we've lost them.", I fall down on the ground while I breath heavily. 

"Are you okay?", he reached down to my level.

"I-I haven't had exercise in a while now so I'm still catching my breath."

"Pfft...", he's trying so hard not to laugh.

"What's funny?", I'm suddenly confused.

How can he laugh at times like these?

"As if you ever go to the gym...", he playfully teases me.

"Watch your mouth!", I smacked him while my cheeks turn red.

"Ow, hey stop!", he lets out a laugh and dodge all of my wallop.

"Why you! Stop dodging!", I also laugh while smacking him.  

I also have fun smacking him for teasing me. Later on, I stop because I run out of energy.

"What now?"

I look at the time in his watch, "Oh shoot, we need to go to our class!"

"Already?"

"There will be punishment for the two of us if we didn't go to class early."

"We must get going then.", he get up and held his hand out to me so I can get up.

"T-thank you...", I blushed.

"Aren't you surprise that I suddenly study at your school?"

"Of course, I'm surprised! Why wouldn't I be?"

It feels like a dream! Am I dreaming?  

I pinched myself just to be sure, "Ouch!"

"Are you okay? Why did you do that?"

"Yeah, I'm fine!"

It's not a dream, it's real!

We rushed to my classroom and to my surprise, he said "This is my classroom also." 

Of course, he looks shocked also. But for some reason, I think he knew. He's really good at pretending. Although I'm with him, some part of me wonders if Daichi is alright. I better tell him later. But... how can I face him? How would he react that my childhood friend is here beside me once again? After what happen to us, it feels awkward to face him and tell him straight... It's embarrassing. The thought crossed my mind... I kind of wander, who am I to him? Does he truly love me? Does he hates me now that I'm with someone else? That thought of it makes me cry but I keep it inside. I didn't tell anyone what I feel now.
