Chapter 3 ~ The Accident

Jake and Erika make it home and Jake goes an plays at her house

Erika; do you want to go to my tree house
Jake; yes!!!
Erika; okay follow me we can see the whole neighborhood

Erika and Jake go up in the tree house and play for a little bit until they decide to ride their bikes around in front of their houses

Erika; let's have a race on our bikes
Jake; okay
Erika; Let's use my driveway
Jake; okay I'll go get Logan to count down for us

Jake went to go get Logan and Erika just waited

Jake; I got him
Erika; okay hi Logan
Jake; okay Logan ur going to count us down but first let me get o my bike

Jake; *gets in his bike* okay I'm ready
Logan; alright 3...2....1 GO!!!!!
Erika; I'm going to beat you *peddling hard*

They both reach the end at the same time

Logan; you both won

A car comes by and the driver isn't paying attention and drives up on the curb and hits Jake and Erika

Jerika; *blacked out*
Logan; omg runs up to them what happened!!!!
Jerika; *doesn't respond*
Logan; *runs into Erika's house screaming* HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Angel; Logan, calm down what's wrong
Logan; *crying* Jake.... Erika
Angel; where are they
Logan; o..u..t..side
Angel; okay *runs outside* omg!!!! Logan go get ur mom
Logan; o..ok *runs and gets pam*
Pam; I'll call 911
Driver; guys I'm so sorry i didn't mean to hit ur kids
Angel; what were you even doing bc it looks like u weren't paying attention to the road
Driver; I wasn't I'm s..sorry
Logan; Jake and Erika weren't even in the road they stayed up on the driveway and and then she hit them both
Angel; oh okay
(Btw the are all crying except jerika bc they blacked out even tho it might not sound like they are)
911; what happened
Logan; Jake and Erika were racing and they just ended their race while they were saying good job to each other a car cams flying up the curb and hit them in the driveway
911; okay did Jake and Erika ever go out on the street
Logan; no
911; okay

They already put Jake and Erika in the ambulance and they drove off Pam and Angel are in there with them while Logan stayed back talking to the cops

Police; well we are going to arrest you ma'am for hitting two kids
Lady; I'm so sorry
Police; we need you to not talk
Logan; do you think Jake and Erika will be okay
Police; idk it depends
Logan; oh okay

~at the hospital~

Jake's pov
I wake up and i realize I'm not at home, I'm in the hospital with ivy's in my arm!!!

Jake; what am I doing here
Nurse; you got hit by a car do u remember that
Jake; no where's Erika!?
Nurse; she's in surgery right now she broke her rib cage
Jake; will she be okay
Nurse; I think so and you will have to go into surgery when she gets done
Jake; why
Nurse; well because you broke ur tail bone
Jake; will I be okay
Nurse; yes and you won't feel it you will be asleep
Jake; okay

It's Jake's turn to go into surgery, Erika just got out and is in the recovery room

Erika's pov
I wake up and I have a nurse beside me and I have a ivy in me

Erika; where am I
Nurse; sweetie ur at the hospital
Erika; why am I here
Nurse; so u must not remember
Erika; remember what
Nurse; well u got hit by a car and the ambulance took you here you had surgery on ur rib cage you broke it
Erika; oh but where's Jake
Nurse; Jake is in surgery right now he broke his tail bone
Erika; oh, when will he be out where I can see him
Nurse; probably a few hours
Erika; okay
Nurse; you need to rest and when you wake up he should be done
Erika; okay
