*Backstory to the backstory: Manny and Matt met at Vidcon 2014. They've remained friends for quite awhile. Manny had always had a crush on Matt, while Matt just recently came out at bi and had quite a journey figuring out he liked Manny. They finally decided to tell eachother, and a relationship started. Manny eventually moved in with Matt. This is the story*

Manny remembered his hands shaking as he had finally decided to just be honest. That was one of the best days of his life, because Matt reciprocated the feelings. He remembered the first date they ever had, Matt taking him to a carnival. The first kiss they shared was also on the first date, at the top of the ferris wheel, while the sun had set and the blinking lights of all the rides were the only thing lighting the place. That started Matt’s love of ferris wheels. He knew the feeling of holding Matt’s hand every day and seeing the familiar smaller figure laying next to him in bed as he slept quietly and peacefully. He knew Matt’s love for video games and movies and diet coke. Maybe he wasn't as obsessed with any of the above as his boyfriend was, but Manny definitely enjoyed having movie nights or beating his boyfriend at mario kart. He knew the feeling of Matt, and how Matt made him feel. He was in love for sure. And tomorrow, he thought, tomorrow was when he was going to do what he's waited for for years. The proposal. He fell asleep, Matt's head on his shoulder. When he woke up, Matt was looking at him tiredly. “morning babe” he said, rubbing his eyes “Good morning, sleepyhead” Matt kissed Manny, letting his head fall to Manny’s shoulder after they pulled away. Manny held him in his lap for a while, his arms in a hug position as he rocked side to side with Matt “I love you, you know that right?” Manny asked “of course i do and I love you too” Matt responded. Manny decided he didn't care if his proposal was somewhere that was amazing. The place didn't matter, it was about the feelings. So he was going to do it now, in their bedroom, in their pajamas, Matt having his glasses on. “Matt, I love you more than you could ever understand. You make me happy every single day. you are my first genuine love...so” Manny got down on one knee “I won't deny we've had rough times, but you make it worth it. I want you in my life forever. I want to be able to love you forever. So, will you marry me?” Matt had tears in his eyes “Yes! Of course i will!” Manny slid the ring on Matt’s finger “perfect fit” he commented. They pulled each other into a hug “god I love you” matt whispered. They got dressed, Manny wearing a peach colored t-shirt and jeans and Matt in his glasses shirt with the red jacket over it and jeans. Manny checked their mail, finding invitations for both of them to go on a mission in the 70’s. They knew they’d go, because the whole concept was weird and interesting and Joey needed help, so of course they'd help him. Until then, they cuddled on the couch together
