Sitting near to the Commander in Chief in his home was surreal. I would have never thought I'd be doing such a thing. Hell, I never even dreamed of it as a child. My heart was simply set on being a Scout, and yet, I have done so much more. I smiled as I watched Levi and Erwin standing by what I presumed to be a sort of bar, getting drinks for Hanji and I.

Levi looked amazing in his suit, the fabrics fitting his frame perfectly. His onyx hair resting lightly in its usual style, and his silver eyes occasionally catching the lights when he looked up at Erwin. Never would I have thought such a strong, stern man would ever be mine.

Hanji jolted me from my thoughts when she nudged me, grinning at the blush that had appeared on my cheeks. "You still look at him the same way you did when you first met him."

"I-wait what is that supposed to mean?" I questioned.

"When you first met him, even though you kept a straight face, you had a loving and gentle look in your eyes. You still have that look when you look at him." She smiled.

"I just-As a child, I looked up to him when the walls first fell. I respected him. After that, each time I saw him, it was like I was looking at the one person besides my friends that could console my pain. He didn't even know my name, never touched me besides saving me from a Titan, and yet I felt that connection." I tucked a stray hair behind my ear and sighed softly. "When Levi said he had feelings for me, it was such a surreal moment. I had never thought he would, and that I was a stupid girl for thinking it. But now, I can't see myself without him."

Hanji's eyes had started watering as I spoke, wiping her eyes as I looked at her. "That was the cutest thing." She grinned as she looked at me for a few moments before Levi and Erwin returned to us.

Levi sat a glass of champagne on the table in front of me before setting down his own and holding a hand out. He smiled softly as he looked down at me, his eyes subtly going from my face and down to my chest, lingering for a moment before returning to my face.

"Would you like to dance?" He questioned, gently helping me stand when I laid my hand in his.

"I'd love to." I smiled as he led me out to the dance floor, Hanji and Erwin close behind us.

I hummed softly to the music as he rested a hand on my hip, the other clasped around my left hand and held slightly in the air. I watched as he smiled softly when my other hand rested on his shoulder, softly kissing the hand he held.

We danced slowly, every so often he'd spin me in a circle and pull me back into his chest. I would have never thought he danced, mainly because I'm used to seeing him as the cold, monotone Captain everyone feared. Then again, we were like total opposites that meshed well together. He's cold and monotone while I'm warm and bubbly. Though, I have been known to strike fear into people when I'm angry.

I was cut from my thoughts when Levi placed a soft kiss on my lips, leading me back to the table after our dance. He sat beside me, a hand on my thigh. "I don't think I'll ever fully get used to you wearing dresses." He mused.

"Oh shut it. I may be in a dress but I'll still kick your ass." I grinned at him.

"We'll see about that later." He winked at me before our attention was turned to the Commander in Chief standing to make a toast.

"Good evening everyone. I hope you are all enjoying yourselves. I would like to make a toast to all of you, as well as a new guest joining us up here tonight. Mrs. Corporal Ackerman. She has shown an astounding amount of courage and strength in her time in the Scouts, especially with having married the Captain." He mused as everyone laughed lightly. "So, I would like to make this toast in her honor." He smiled and motioned for me to stand as everyone cheered, making my cheeks turn a light pink.

He turned towards me and asked for me to make my own speech, causing my breath to hitch in my throat as I raised my own glass once more.

"Thank you, Commander. I'm truly honored to be here. I would like to make a toast to you and to my superiors that helped me get here." I motioned to Levi, Hanji, and Erwin. "They have taught me well, and I have faith that they will always stand by me and that we will continue to excel together not only as peers, but as a unit." I smiled as I finished my toast, the room erupting in cheers once more as I sat down.

"That was beautiful." Erwin smiled at me, his blue eyes reflecting in the light.

"Thank you." I hummed and gently leaned into Levi when he put an arm around my shoulders. I love this man so much.
