❤Day 7❤

44 days to go....
       "Megumi, are you okay? ", Yuko questions, noticing her friends unusual silence. "I... ", she sighed and rested her head down on her desk trying not to think about what happened the night before. She thought maybe things would be back to normal this morning, but things felt even more weird. When she went to his door so they had walked to school together, he had already left, and she didn't see him till she got to school. He didn't even say good morning to her! "He rejected you didn't he? ", Hime guessed, getting a slap from Iona. "What? You don't have much faith in her either ", Home mumbled. Iona shook her head and smirked, "I know something you don't". "Megumi? What happened? You guys didn't come to school together? ", Yuko asked in worry.  "I don't know what happened ", she answered truthfully, not lifting her head, "it's just all of a sudden he won't talk to me and I think I did something wrong and.... What did I do? ". "Wow...", was all Hime could say. "So he just won't talk to you? ", Iona exchanged a worried glance with Yuko. Megumi didn't respond. She was too focused on trying not to cry at school.

      "Bai! Thank you for cheering me up! ", Megumi said with a soft smile to her friends. She felt bad for worrying them all day, so she was at least trying to leave seeming more cheerful. They all exchanged worried glances again before looking back at their pink haired friend. "bye", Iona nodded. "Are you sure everything is okay? ", Hime asked in concern. "Yes!", she lied, "everything is completely fine!! ". She walked out the door trying to figure out how she would get him to talk to her. It would have to be when they were walking home because she was certain he wasn't going to come with her tonight. It's funny.... He said he didn't want me to get hurt.... He wanted to know who I like because he wants to make sure I won't get hurt, but he's the one I like and I've never been this upset over someone not talking to me. She continued to walk, hoping she'd find him on her way home, but she'd been walking for a while now and hadn't seen him yet. Sighing, she walked over to the "magic place" and sat down. "Guess I don't even have to come here anymore if he's avoiding me", she whispered to herself with a sad smile. She sat back and picked up a sakura prattle from the ground, only to throw it back into the air. "What are you doing? ", a familiar voice sounded from behind her. She turned around so excitedly that she almost fell down the hill again. "Seiji!!", she exclaimed, "I haven't seen you all day!! Are you mad at me? I'm sorry!! I'm sorry for whatever I did and I promise I'll never do it again and-". He cut her off, " I'm not mad at you". "Then why...?", she paused not wanting to finish her sentence, fearful that he'd leave her again. He hugged her and she hugged him back happily. Things haven't changed at all!! "I stayed away from you because you like someone a lot and I didn't want to get in the way", he explained. He only avoided me because he cares about me!!! "I-I don't want you to avoid me again", she stuttered, "unless that's what you want". He kissed her forehead again causing her to be even more confused. "I never want to avoid you ", he whispered to her.  And with that they walked the rest of the way home together, both embarrassed over the kiss.

      "Omigosh!! You're actually here!! ", she exclaimed that night. Even though everything was normal between them again, she still had expected him to not show up. "I want you to be okay", he laughed. She smiled at him, happy that things could still be like this. She felt a little selfish though. They were already so close, and yet she still wanted them to be closer. She sometimes wondered if there was a way she'd be able to get rid of these feelings, but she knew there wasn't. She had had many crushes before, but she was in love with him. They walked in silence until they made it outside. "So how many days have you been doing this now? ", he questioned as they walked to the "magic place". She smiled happily, "7 days!! ". He sighed, "of course". "You don't have to come with me everyday!! ", she giggled at his reaction. "It's okay", he nodded back. She smiled secretly happy that he wanted to come with her every night. It felt like it was something special that only they knew about, and that made her feel special. Looking down at from the hill, she smiled remembering the past 7 nights.  She felt that the more they were together, the more her feelings made sense and the more she had hope for her confession. Maybe he wouldn't reject her and they would be together.  She looked behind her and saw that he was standing there, waiting for her supportivly. I guess I don't have a wish tonight... I guess I'm just really thankful that things are okay between us already. I was scared there wouldn't be any more nights like this! But I'm glad I was wrong. "Are you ready to go? ", he asked after a few minutes. She turned around and nodded.  I guess I don't have a wish tonight because I don't need anything else!! "What are you smiling about?", he smirked at her. "Nothingggg~", she responded with a giggle. He just shrugged and they continued to walk home....
