Ugh

As soon as you say the words "mamma mia" all the fandom members go wild because they think you're talking about the movie.

I get that the movie is what most people have seen but can't they at least try and acknowledge that the musical came first and not the movie?

The musical and ABBA itself have been the only things I talk about lately and one of the reasons I never mention the movie fandom. Those in the movie fandom think it's the only mamma mia but it isn't.

Mamma Mia is my favourite musical and probably the movie version is also my favourite movie but I wish people would start acknowledging those of the musical fandom.

That's one of the reasons I created the protection squad. A place where fans of the musical and movie can gather together and discuss ships and ocs as well as their fanfics without being judged.

I dislike those of just the movie fandom mainly because they don't acknowledge the musical first. They jump in for the movie but they're so careless about what inspired it.

For me, the movie is just the musical with a blonde Donna and the wrong songs in the wrong order.

Don't take this the wrong way and call me names. I don't hate the movie. The movie is good but the sequel broke my heart.

Don't try to convert me.
