Memories

I open my eyes to find myself resting on a floor like void. I stand up. All around me are large screens. Each screen shows a memory, one of my memories. I start walk down this long void. I stop at the first screen. I am sitting on a swing, my dad pushing me and my mom reading a book.

"Isabelle, I want you to remember that no matter what happens, you are loved." My dad stated. He picked me up off the swing and twirled me around, little me giggled.

"Of course, I'll remember, daddy." Little me stated. My dad laughed.

"How is that darling?" My dad asks. Little me giggled and hugged him.

"Because no matter what happens, you will always love me, and so will mama." Little me stated. My dad smiled and ruffled my hair.

"Exactly." My dad stated. He picked me up and put me on his shoulders, carrying me into the house. The picture freezes on my dad. I stroke the screen and continue on. Many other small memories are displayed before a recent one  catches my eye. The next screen displays a less pleasant memory. I'm standing over my parents' graves, alone. I place some lilies on the grave and pull something out of my pocket. I fiddle with it as I speak.

"Hi, mom and dad. To say the least, I miss you. I remembered how your favorite flowers were lilies, mom. Dad, I have your Purple Heart. I know how much you loved it. I'm gonna keep it if you don't mind." I started, my voice hoarse. Tears began to fall as I knelt down next to the tombstones. I threw my head back and let the rain, shower me. "I haven't visited you because, well, there is no excuse. I became mute and just discovered I have magic powers, wanna see?" I pull up my hand and focus, I make a small purple flames appear on my hand.

"See, see! I can do it! I wonder if you guys could. You probably could seeing as you were the coolest people on Earth. I'm in seventh grade, now. I made a friend but they disappeared. They climbed the mountain. I think I'm going to do it soon. Just to get away from every thing." I stated, sighing. "I broke my arm and got stabbed in the eye. My new parents are absolute trash. They abuse me, that's why I'm almost never at my house.  Just like you told me, a house is not a home. I can show you the scars." I pulled up my shirt, revealing deep scars on my back.

"Ya, so my life is complete trash. If you don't mind, I'm gonna stay here until the bullies find me." I leaned back on my father's gravestone. Seconds later, five boys run at me. I stand up and bolt for the mountain. The memory ends, pausing on my curious face. I venture deeper into this void. The next memories shock me.

"What, why are the monsters here?" I ask. There are more memories of the monsters than anything else. I walk up to the first one. I am training with Undyne, the skelebros, Asriel and Frisk. Me vs. the others. I hold up my hands and ignite them in purple flames.

"READY, SET, GO!" Grillby yells. The other's charge at me. I hold Sans and Undyne in the air with blue magic. Bones appear below me and I jump out of the way. I suddenly feel heavy.

"Crap." I state. I look down, my soul blue. I look up and see Papyrus. Suddenly, Asriel jumps out of nowhere and slashes at me with his swords. I summon a bone and block with it. I push Asriel back and he goes flying. Then, spears start falling from the sky and bones come up from the ground. I drop Sans and Undyne and make a pole vault size bone. I pole vault over all the bones, then I remember, I am blue. "Crap!"

"Gotcha, kid." Sans stated, closing his fist. Spears rained down on me as I plummeted towards the earth. I zone everything out and focus on summoning the Gaster Blaster. Next thing I know, I am swooped up by the Gaster Blaster and thrown towards the sky. I grab the small skelly with blue magic and throw him into a snow pile. I suddenly feel normal. I have the Gaster Blaster bring me back to the ground. I jump off him mid air and bellyflop into a pile of snow. I crawl around under the snow, very, very cold. I make myself green. I surround myself in red fire as soon as I find that I am underneath them. I bust out from under them and bolt to the sky. I surround my feet in fire and use that for boosters. I slowly desend to the ground.

"TIME'S UP!" Grillby yells. I sigh and land softly on the ground. I wait for the snow to settle. All of my opponents are on the ground. I jump up for joy, tiredly.

"I did it. Ya! I did it. Woopee!" I cheered. The others look around and sigh. I flop onto the ground, face planting the snow.

"Good job, Izzy. I honestly thought we would win." Undyne states. I smile into the snow.

"Thangs." I stated, muffled by the snow. The memory ends. I smile and walk to the end of the hallway, ignoring all the fresh memories.

I find myself in a small room. A woman is standing at the counter. She is a beautiful skeleton. I sigh.

"How did I get here?" I ask. She disregards my question.

"Would you like to go back to your friends?" She asks.

"How am I here? I remember dying, painfully." I ask. She disregards my question again.

"Would you like to go back to your friends?" She asks again. I take a deep breath.

"Yes." I answer shortly. She sighs.

"Do you love your friends?" She asks.

"Well, considering I just literally just died for them, ya I like to say that I love them." I answer sarcastically.

"How much do you love Frisk?" She asks.

"More than she could ever know or accept." I state vaugly. The skeleton sighs.

"The journey back to your friends will be painful, but worth it in the end. Do you still wish to continue?" She asks. I straighten my posture, standing tall.

"Yes." I state. She sighs and lifts a hand. All I see is white. The next thing I feel is pain, emmense pain.
