Everyone labels a person subconsciously. Hell, I do it almost everytime I meet a new person.
"Oh Eddie, yeah he's super chill."
"Rebecca is such a crybaby, so sensitive."
"Max is kind of an idiot, really nothing going on in that brain of his."
"Gabriela is such a sweet heart!"
Sweetheart. Idiot. Sensitive. Chill.
These are all adjectives, describing words for a singular emotion, yet a whole person is portrayed as a singular attribute.
Eddie only wants you to see him as a laid back guy, but he has feelings and he can be dramatic if he wanted to show you that.
Max, although dumbfounded at times, can be a real sweetheart and actually kind of smart sometimes.
Rebecca isn't afraid to show her feelings, she may be sensitive, but she's strong and can crack a few insensitive jokes at times.
Gabriela might be sweet now, but get her angry and judge her then.No one is one thing and don't get me wrong. I use labels and we need labels, but if you're going to ignore the rest of what she/he is, then don't get mad when you're just another attribute with no way to change it. See people as more then one thing and they'll see you as well.
