Now I have no clue why I've been thinking about this, but I've made up types of friends in my head (If these are actual types of friends, whoops) and there's this one type that keeps coming back to me. I call it the "Home friend."
(This will probably not make much sense, it was 4 am when I thought about this and now I'm writing it at 1am)
Now the home friend is pretty simple. To put it in a baseball term, they are home plate. They are the sense of home, safety and victory that you get when you run to them. Now if you take this analogy and change it to an actual house. You're house should be where you feel the most comfortable, safe and calm, however, everyone leaves there house at one time or another. Whether it be for college, moving out or simply going out for the night, everyone leaves their house (unless your like albino or something idk). However, the house is always waiting for you to come back until they're broken down. Turned into rubble and something else is built on their infrastructure.
I believe there are friends like this. Think of an old friend you've maybe been friends with them for a lifetime, but now for whatever reason you leave them. It could be a fight, a disagreement, etc, but you leave them. Now them being the good friend they are, will wait for you to come back. They don't care how long, they need you to fulfill them. So let's say you come back and you spend some time with them and get comfortable again, but uh oh, you're leaving... again. At some point you either only come back once or twice a year or you never come back again. Slowly your memory of them fades over time, but they will always remember you. They need you to make them whole, but you will never stay with them forever.
Shit, that came out more depressing then I wanted it to... well that's fine, it seems to be a theme for legit everyone on planet earth the last couple months.
