Tugging my ear whenever

Chapter 20

America POV

Somehow me and Maxon end up on the bed on top of each other.
Maxon cups my face in his hands and kisses me.

"You know we really shouldn't be doing this."
I smirk.
"Your the Prince, you can just pardon me."
Maxon kisses me some more, until we hear little voices coming from around the bed.

"Aaron. Look how cute they are!"
"Yuck! That is not cute! Nope."
Me and Maxon laugh at them.
"Aaron. Stop it! Someday that will be you!"
By now me and Maxon can't stop laughing at there little conversation.

Once we calm down I signal us to scare them.

One.
Two.
Three!

Me an maxon each jump and grab Eadlyn and Aaron. I grab Eadlyn, while Maxon has Aaron.

We throw them on the bed and start tickling them.
Eadlyn and Aaron both can't stop laughing, while me and Maxon have giant grind on our faces.

"Mommy! Please! That tickles!"
" Yeah! Daddy! That tickles! Stop! "

Me and Maxon pull away  and watch the twins, which are still laughing.

Me and Maxon join into the laughter.

"Aaron! Looks like mommy and daddy have the giggle bug!"

" My side hurts from laughing so hard. "
"Mine to."

We finally calm down, and me and Maxon smile at each other.
He pulls me into his lap, and I lay my head on his shoulder.
"This is what I want, America. A real family, with kids, and a wife that loves me, and I love her back."
" This is what I want to. The twins to spend time with there father, and actually have a full family. "

I sigh, and Maxon gets off the bed.

I watch him while confused, and he gets down on one knee.
I gasp.
"Maxon."
" America, I know that I am still married. I know that I made the most horrible mistake to let you go, and I regret it everyday. When the time comes I will propose to you, but for now all I can do is give you this promise ring.
I promise that I will make things right.
I promise I won't give up.
And I promise that I will always love you. "

"Awww!"
I laugh at Eadlyn's remark.

"Yes Maxon. Yes. I will take this promise ring and cherish it. Always."

The ring has a thin silver band, that goes up, then holds a beautiful diamond heart with words carved into the band,
I love you.

I could feel my hot tears streaming down my face.

Me and Maxon out the kids back too bed, and we curl up in my bed.

"Don't you think Kriss is worried about where you are?"
"Nahhh."
He looks at his watch.
"She is probably passed out drunk by this time."

Maxon gets up to leave, but I stop him.
"Maxon"
"Yes my dear."
He grins.
"Not your dear,  but, would you stay. Just for the night?"
Maxon smiles and gets back into the bed. I lay my head on his chest and fall asleep to the sound of his heartbeat knowing it beats only for me.
