For many centuries, the provinces of Ivig and Moae Luor have always kept peace between one another, supporting and providing aid to each other when necessary. They have fought alongside in many battles and wars, resulting in victories in every brawl fought due to their compatibilities with each individual's talents and abilities.
The Ingleken of Ivig and Kle Mien Jors of Moae Luor were elite groups of foot soldiers and archers, who were inclined in quick thinking, medicine and hand-to-hand combat. They were more than allies.
They were brothers and sisters.
However, the bond between the two countries was ended by two Kle Mien Jor soldiers, who also happened to soil the close relationship between the two specific armies, although the result wasn't of their intentions.
A dictator, Dwavichin Orv, rose to power in Moae Luor, spreading fear and concern across the province, leaving no choice for the two soldiers other than to betray their native land and have him killed or overthrown in any way possible.
They were not just two soldiers, but rather lovers with hopes of a safe and peaceful life for their unborn child, even if it meant having to bid farewell to the oncoming bundle of new life.
Months before the war, the two lovers discovered the plans of the dictator, which were to invade Ivig and kill off the Zachëan, in which Orv would take rule over the two countries and bind them together with terrorizing force.
The couple had set off to Ivig to warn the young ruler, who had immediately taken action once informed of the scheme of Orv.
He led the Ingleken, along with an army of 80,000 soldiers, into a war called the Greyon War in attempt to prevent the plan from being fulfilled.
He was successful.
The Zachëan fought against Dwavichin Orv, a sword against bow as Orv said his final words to the young ruler.
"Remember my face," Orv said as he slid past the Zachëan. "I'll be in your sleep, turning your dreams into nightmares night after night after night until..."
The dictator paused as a dark smirk came to his face as he pushed away the ruler's sword and gets in his face.
"I make your nightmare come true."
With that said, the Zachëan screamed, turned and thrusted his sword deep in the stomach of Orv before pushing him the canyon that stretched out behind the dictator.
Those of Ivig returned home, following their young leader with soaring pride but with heads hanging in disappointment and sadness.
Especially the Ingleken.
Despite the despair felt, a celebration was made for the victory, and the soldiers enjoyed themselves by drinking and socializing while dancing the night away.
Months passed and the foreigners' child was born, an infant girl of pale gray skin, like that of her parents.
However, the family had to be torn apart.
It was much too perilous for them to stay together. Before the war, news had spilled throughout all the provinces that the two managed to get away, and that if they were found, there would be a reward for the finders and the two Kle Mien Jors.
A reward of money for those who found them, and a reward of death for the runaways.
The Zachëan immediately vowed to provide protection for the child and took the infant under his wing, promising to raise her to the best of his abilities, despite being such a young ruler.
And with that said and done, the parents part from their daughter, who was to be their everything, their pride, their joy.
Their hero of an epic.
They leave to their deaths to give life to their daughter, the hope of the future, the one foretold to find the light, the one to surpass and conquer all...
The one to ascend and bring peace amongst the lands, declaring her Fate:
"This is my odyssey, this is my illusion.
I'm lost in a dream of you and me, so caught up in confusion.
When will love be immortal, and truth be pure and free?
I was born to find the light, this is my odyssey!"
This is the odyssey of Jephyn Lupon.
