Feeble Feelings

Vianna looked up at Brandon who cleared his throat. She decided to stay by the pool when Beatrice announced that she needed to be upstairs for a call appointment. No one was around so Vianna took a walk and fantasize on the dazzling water as she reached the french doors leading to the outdoors. She did not know how long was she looking on to the radiant luminescence with no apparent point. Corinne is still haunting her.

Brandon emphasized a bottle of wine and two old-fashioned glasses, "Cabernet Sauvignon."

If she was surprise, Vianna did not show it. She remembered what Beatrice said, "Is it expensive?"

Brandon frowned and set the bottle on the tiled floor, he then sat and offered her one glass, "Last time I checked, its a 300 dollar... if its mine, I say at least 800."

Vianna smiled and accepted the offered glass, Brandon immediately poured wine in it, "Beatrice is not the drinker type."

Brandon nodded and clunk his glass against hers, "She's the type to spend all her money to charity."

Vianna chuckled at the fact and took a sip, "Mhh... This is something."

Brandon kelped as he shrunk half of the contains in his glass, "Bukas na ang schedule ng arraignment, may isusuot ka na ba? Balita ko tinanggal mo nanaman ang sekretarya mo."

Vianna shook her head, "I have many choices in my wardrobe."

Brandon scoffed, "Huwag mo nga iyang ipamukha sa akin. Sobrang rami ng media bukas malamang at featured tayo. Ayokong maging katawa tawa ang itsura mo ruon."

Vianna cringe as she swallowed the sweet liquor and held on the glass, "Yun lang ang problema mo?"

"I'll make an offer... a 3000-dollar suit. I know it'll be perfect for you." Brandon said as he poured her glass full again and studied her form like he's actually imagining the suit on her.

Vianna raise a brow, "Magseselos sa'yo ang mananahi ko."

Brandon threw her a confident smile, "I am the CEO of my brand offering you a better deal. He'll surely understand." Brandon nudge her with an elbow, "I accept credit cards too."

"Ayaw mo lang na magpatalo ano?"

Brandon groaned, "Come on Vianna. Puwera biro, aaminin kong ako ang may hawak ng the 'best deal', pero gusto kong ikaw ang sumuot nuong 'better deal'. Second best or nothing at all."

Vianna gave him a blank stare, "How much is your best deal and I'll double the amount."

"Its mens..."

"I could manage using one." Vianna smirk at his aghast form.

Brandon sighed and smiled, "Maganda rin naman pala kung nagkakasundo tayo."

Vianna paused at that remark and asked for another round, "Yeah. Nakakapanibago ngunit sumasang-ayon ako sa'yo."

Brandon frowned, "Pasensya ka na nung muntikan na kitang barilin. Nawala ako sa sarili ko eh."

The day wasn't entirely a waste, Vianna thought, "Wala akong sinabihan na iba Brandon."

Brandon nodded and stare out the water, "Nahinuha kong si Robert ang may pakana... yung kasama ko nung gabing iyon." He immediately clarrified when Vianna's face lurched of confusion, he cleared his throat, "Nakipaghiwalay agad ako sa kanya at ginawa niyang personal."

"Kamusta na ang tsismis na yaon?" Vianna looked at her brother, there weren't traces of disgust like they usually offer to one another everytime they meet. His handsome face seemed to magnify on his beaming smile and his friendly demeanor made him a whole different person.
