She waits impatiently, shaking her foot with restlessness. She's feeling a sense of anxiety along with the excitement of finally getting to meet him.

She looks around with relaxation, at the children leaping about in the playground and the couples jogging or just enjoying the brilliant weather. The park always brings her a feeling of happiness. It beats staying indoors.

"Genny!"

She looks to her left and finds a man with a black coat walking up to her with an ice cream bar in his hand. She smiles and raises an eyebrow.

"You're having ice cream in this cold weather?" She asks as she stands up. "Well... got to live life to the fullest huh?" He responds then pulls Geneva into a hug.

"How are you doing Tommy?" She smiles widely and wraps her arms around him tightly.

"Better than ever... at least I try to keep it like that," He says as he sits down beside her on the bench, "It's been way too long Gen. I'm happy you thought about meeting."

She smiles softly, "I'm happy to see you so... fresh Thomas. You look good, it's great seeing you this way."

"Well sweetheart the feelings shall be returned unto you," He chuckles and winks, Geneva laughs then takes in a breath, "So after our time at uni, how's life treating you?"

"Honestly, I've never been more disappointed. I thought... we both thought forensic science would be a gateway to a life full of possibilities. I don't know about you but I'm a barista at a coffee shop and I sometimes work backstage for the local theatre. Does that sound like the life we used to dream about?"

"Oh Gen that's... I'm so sorry about that. If I knew I would have helped with whatever I could but I haven't had all the luck in the world either," Thomas sighs, "I got fired from four jobs, left two because they didn't work out and just... I've been living on dieting and volunteering from the day after we graduated!"

The party of two stay in silence for a moment, frowns crawling upon their faces. "Life just doesn't go the way you want sometimes. It gives you a kick in the arse hoping to get you going but..." He shakes his head and licks the last bit of vanilla ice cream off the popsicle stick then flings it into the trash bin.

Geneva chuckles and Thomas tilts his head with confusion. "What's the matter?" He asks and she kicks the stubble on the ground.

"Nothing I just... I missed your smooth irish accent,"  She comments shyly and he pushes her arm playfully.

"Alright is that the only thing you missed about me?! Gosh Geneva I'm so hurt on the inside, I might bawling," He frowns and Geneva rolls her eyes, "Well I missed for beautiful blonde hair and your blue orbs for eyes, and your laughter that happier than a man would be to find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow."

Geneva stares at him in awe then chuckles, "Wow you sporting a new venture in the art of flirting?"

He tells her about an action plan he thought about implementing into his lifestyle... all he needs is Geneva to be a part of it.

"I've got reliable people that can work for us and with us. We would be unstoppable, no one will catch us I promise Genny," Thomas explains ad persuasively as he is capable of and Geneva looks at him with doubt.

"Come on love, where's the energy, the thirst for something less mundane gone? The Geneva I knew couldn't wait to get her hands dirty, go out and work as a forensic scientist-"

"Exactly that's what I want to do, not be a bunch of film-wannabe criminals rampaging and breaking the law with every step with take! What, we're supposed to kill people, commit felonies and robs banks and houses and just.... live with it?!" Geneva yells and Thomas hold his hands out in front of him in retreat.

"Look, we could change our lives and we could have whatever we wish. Aren't you sad about how life played out for you?" Thomas questions, "I know I am and I would do anything to change it. It's never to late Gen."

She starts to walk away from him, crossing her arms and trying to drown out the conversation she just had with him.

Thomas proposed the idea of becoming an outlaw and possible fugitives, being hired as target killers or thieves or negotiators to do the dirty work for the people high up in the food chain. One jobs pays enough for a tour around Europe, one could estimate, and making it a living would be being comprehensible.

"Genny, we know what a forensics team looks for in a crime, we were the best in class. We know how the police force thinks, we know the system inside out so we can make sure we never get caught," Thomas tells and steps closer to her, "Sweetheart we watch each other's backs and we become the greatest criminal minds of the underground and dark world."

After a pause for contemplation Geneva breathes in sharply. "Do I really have 'no' as an option?" She questions and squints her eyes.

Thomas holds her arms and squeezes them. "I'll be with you every moment of it. I know that this is going to be s good thing... I can  feel it in my gut and trust me you don't want to question my gut," He expresses then chuckles.

Geneva walks next to him through the open park ground, aisles of trees on both sides of a pavement they travel on. She can only hope that Thomas knows what he's doing.

He's a smart fellow right? She thinks to herself then sighs.

"Hey before I forget, from now on we need aliases. We can't risk having our identities compromised alright Delilah?"

"Delilah?"

"Yeah I remember you saying that you liked that name, plus it's pretty common... less suspecting."

"And what should I call you?"

"Call me... Colin."
