~Rose's POV~
I sighed and closed my eyes as Star went to get our order and Susie looked at me.
"Tired?" She asked and I glanced at her.
"That ain't half of it." I replied.
"You okay?" She looked at me in a concern and I gave her a half smile.
"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just that I didn't think I'd bump into them." I answered truthfully and Star sat down while placing the tray on the table.
"That makes three of us." Star grabbed a chip and bit the end of it. "Why on Earth were they at the High School?"
"My guess is the Witwicky kid." I spoke before chewing two chips at the same time.
"The kid that shoved the Allspark into buckethelm's spark?" Star raised an eyebrow and I nodded.
"I bumped into him on my way into the school before I was being chased by the Autobots." I told them.
"That explains a few things." Susie said while taking a sip of her coke.
"I guess." Star muttered. "We need to lay low if we want to get out of this without them finding out, but this really makes things more difficult then they already are."
"I agree, it was bad enough trying to hide from the Decepticons, but now the Autobots too?" Susie asked in frustration. "Why do we keep doing this, Rose?"
Honestly, we've been doing this for so long that I'm scared of what will happen if we reveal ourselves. I sighed and shook my head before taking a sip of my drink.
"It's for the best, Susie." I told her and she frowned.
"How is this for the best? All we ever do is run away and try to keep our cover." She pressed and I closed my eyes.
I was expecting this, even if I was expecting Star to be the one to ask, I still knew one of them would, but I'm not ready to answer yet.
"It just is." I replied.
"Susie." Star spoke and the blonde looked at her. "Drop it."
Susie stared at her before glancing at me and sighing.
"Sorry." She apologized and I smiled sadly while shaking my head.
"No, I'm sorry. I know you are just frustrated, but you're just going to have to trust me." I said before frowning. "Do you trust me?"
The twins glanced at each other then looked at me.
"Of course." Star answered.
"We trust you with our lives." Susie finished and I gave the two a small, thankful smile making them smile back.
'Thank you. I don't know what I would do without you two.'
