1 week later

I played with Puggy all night. He was adorable. He was way too excited. Puggy made some noise as I was watching him, he even broke a vase. Oops. Whitney came downstairs, crossing the hall and ending up in the living room, where Puggy and I were. She turned on the light and revealed a monster: messy hair, puffy eyes with wrinkles under them and her hands shaking. It was weird seeing her like this, giving the fact that she always spends at least 2 hours to make herself look perfect.

'What do you think you are doing?' she crossed her arms. 'It's 3AM, for God's sake! I have an important test tomorrow and if I am going to be all grumpy and stuff and not pass it, it's your fault.'

I turned to face Puggy, trying to show Whitney that he was the one making the noise and the she was misunderstanding...but he was gone. Where did he go? Then, he came from her back, jumping on her leg, licking her face as she got down to pet him.

'Why can't you be like him?'she noticed the vase and her eyes grew wide. 'T-that vase! It was the only thing we had from grandma! How could you?' At that point tears were forming in her eyes. 'That's it! I'm telling mum!'

That little-

I hissed at Puggy in frustration and he ran away letting out a bark. What a scaredy cat...dog.

'What is wrong with you?! My God, you looked friendly the first night.' she turned my back and faded away. 'I guess I was wrong.'

Then I heard in the distance: 'Come on, Puggy, let's give you your favourite snack. You can come sleep with me if you want?' and a happy bark.

I knew he was trouble when he walked in (Taylor Swift in the background). He betrayed me. Now what am I doing? I am wandering in the local park, clearing my mind. I see a bench with a few pigeons on it and I jump on it, seeing the birds flying away. I sit in a sleeping position, but there's no way I can sleep now. I get down and walk some more until I see a strange light. I stop looking at it more carefully. Suddenly, the light hits a silhuette that becomes bigger and bigger.

Oh uh. I don't have a good feeling about this.

Third person's POV

It is 6AM and the house is full of panic.

'Are you sure she's not in the wardrobe?'

'I might have left the door opened, and she left?'

'She has to be here somewhere!'

They are looking for Kitty. They do not care about the broken vase, the noise she "was making" last night. They just want to find her quickly.

'Oh God, I'm calling the police.' Jim announces everyone.

'I don't think you can the police for lost animals, honey.' Helena moves away the coffee table.

'Then what am i supposed to do?!' he throws his hands in the air.

Poor Sylvia is just in a corner softly sobbing the cat's name. She is the youngest one of the family and she is very attached to Kitty. Whitney tries to comfort her, but she causes more trouble.

'IT"S YOUR FAULT SHE LEFT!' she yells at Whitney.

'I'm sorry...' she wants to hug Sylvia, but she pushes Whitney away.

'And how is it my fault that she's not here?!'

'I h-heard you y-y-yelling at her l-last night.' Sylvia sputters through sobs.

Whitney's eyes grow once again wide. She puts her hands in her hair screaming 'no, no ,nO, NO, NOOOO!'

'What's wrong darling?' Helena shook Whitney, but she blocks anything around her. She notices an open window with a light breeze coming inside, causing the curtains to move.

'I'll go outside for a bit.' she takes her coat, unlocks the door and leaves before enyone else starts questioning eachother.

Kitty's POV

'Well, wasn't that fun?' the little kid pets me.

You fed me...OF COURSE IT WAS FUN!

'Alright, I must go, my parents are waiting for me! Byeee!' he waves at me like I can actually wave back.

It turns out that the silhuette I saw last night, is not a monster that eats cats for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but an adorable little kid that was wandering in the park. He even told me why he's here. He was at a wedding until 2:00AM in the vicinity and somehow managed to sneak out and come to the park. He fed me and stuff! Best stranger kid ever!

'KIIITTYYYY!' I hear a familiar voice shouting my name. I turn around and see Whitney desperately running to me. She lifts me up and hugs me so tight, that my organs are about to pop. She still doesn't get it. I. hate. being. lifted. up! 'Kitty, I'm sorry for screaming at you! I never thought you would leave! If I knew I wouldn't have done that...' tears start running down her cheeks.

I meow at her and she gets what I want to say.

'Thank you...' she answers.

For what?

'For...forgiving me.'

What? No. I said that in order to forgive you need to buy me toys and food. And get rid of Puggy.

She hugs me again. Oh, forget it. I'll forgive her. We get back home and everyone sighs relieved. I see with the corner of my eye Puggy. But, he's stuck in...something. In duct tape. He's struggling to get out of the mess. Puggy looks like an acrobat, trying to do some complicated, unkown pose. And I can tell it hurts him.

Revenge.
