Chapter 3

 Lukes POV

Luke was on his way home when he thought back to his deal with Matt from school earlier.

Time skip: the last class of the day. Social Studies

"Hey, Matt! I have thought about what you said." Luke explains

"Well, well, well. What might your decision be, my dear friend?" Matt questioned.

"I'll do it. I will let Christy's light shine and become great friends with her! I know I will!" Luke exclaimed

"Hahaha! I knew you would agree! But just a little head's up. By agreeing, you must talk to her at least 4 different times during break and update me on how it goes." Matt explained

"....Fine, I'll do it; if the other guys continue the deal they made earlier at lunch. Deal?" Luke asked

".....Deal." Matt said

This is making me freak out more than I should be! I mean it's just a girl who needs some help with her social skills. I told Matt that I would accept this deal, but can I really pull it off within only a week?

Time skip: Luke's house

As soon as I got thru the door, my mom greeted me and as usual, I said my 'hello' and left so that I could first, finish up any of my homework then make a plan to help Christy let her light shine.

But as soon as I got my stuff unpacked from a long day, my phone rang. The caller ID was, well, Matt.

"Hey Luke, are you busy by any chance?" Matt asked in a worried tone

"No? Why are u asking? I just got home and about do homework." Luke asked very confused by the tone of voice his friend is using.

"Okay, don't freak out or do anything crazy when I tell you this. Okay?"

"Okay? Just tell me what you want to say. It's getting late."

".....um, I might have to well, um, stay out on the break a little longer than I thought because I'm not here with my family to have fun and you know that. My dad's meeting with work as scheduled us here to stay a few extra days. So, that means that the bet will have to continue as well while I'm gone."

"Um, okay matt. And your point is?"

"My point is you get a few extra days on the bet okay? And I'll text you later about stuff you may want to know about Christy. I gotta go now. Bye bro!" Matt said before hanging up on Luke

What? Why did he just hang up so suddenly? Oh, well at least I can get started on my school work. But I am wondering about one thing he did say before hanging up. What does he mean 'stuff you may want to know'?
