"Oops!" Now, when you are on a very time-sensitive mission with a bomb and a four year old, 'Oops' is not a great word you want to hear coming out of the mouth of your partner, who happens to be holding the bomb. "Oops?! Why would you say that when you're holding a bomb??" I'm Louise, by the way. Now, don't get me wrong, Dean is a great partner. I would never want anyone else watching my back, but sometimes...well, he worries me. "Well I didn't mean to say it out loud!" Dean retorted. "Is 'Oops' bad?" I heard a voice ask over my shoulder. The voice was coming from the four year old I mentioned earlier. Her name was Liza and she was the daughter of a very powerful crime boss in New York city. "No, it's not bad!...Is it Dean?" I was now getting concerned. Dean had "that" look on his face. The look he has when he's about to tell me we have to jump out of a plane or dive into a shark tank. That look was not good. "No! I mean..I may have just hit the timer button so the bomb will go boom before it should but it'll be fine..I think." Dean was far from convincing but I didn't have time to tell him because, at that moment, a bullet went whizzing above my head and shattered a board on a crate above us, sending splinters everywhere. "Time to go!" I shouted, sliding the kid onto my back. Dean grabbed his pistol and started firing as I took off towards the truck, which was around the back. Dean caught up quickly and we dove behind a group off crates. "We have to get that to the middle of the building!" I yelled over the gunfire, pointing to the bomb. "No kidding?? Any suggestions?" Dean retorted. "Here, trade me." I said, taking the bomb and giving him the kid. "Get her to the truck." I said and started to get up to leave. "Wait, what are you doing?" Dean said, grabbing my arm and pulling me back down. His look had changed now. Now he was worried, his eyebrows furrowed and his lips pursed. He always looked this way when he knew I was going to do something that might get me killed. Now that I think of it, he got this look a lot. "Listen, this bomb has 3 minutes left and I have to have time to get out of the blast zone. The mission was to extract and destroy, I will not let this mission be a half success. Get the kid out and the truck ready to go. I'll be fine." I said the last part without much conviction. I knew what I was up against, probably at least 40 armed guards, and 100 feet between me and the drop zone. "I'm not gonna leave you here." Dean said and he meant it. He always meant what he said. "You aren't leaving me, I'll be out before the place blows, now get out!" and with that, I ripped my arm out of his hand and took off. As soon as I left our hiding place, the men aimed at me which, I suppose, was good. Dean and Liza could get away if the gunfire was aimed for me. However, there was a down side....the gunfire was aimed at me. It was 50 feet now. I was determined to get to the drop zone. I glanced down to see the timer at a minute and a half. "Not good." I gasped, flipping over another box. Then I was there. I dropped the bomb and took off in the other direction. I didn't know I could run that fast. I was almost to the door, I could see the truck with Dean looking anxious, waiting for me to come out. 20 feet. 15. 10. I was about 7 feet from the door when I felt the most horrid pain in my back. It was like everything went into slow-motion. The pain crept up my spine all the way into my skull, turning the edges of my vision black. I felt myself being pulled towards the floor, as if my legs had disappeared. My vision faded in and out. The last thing I remember was looking out the door to see Dean jumping out of the truck, shouting something. It looked like he was shouting my name. Then, darkness.
