//Dean's POV\\ My vision was spotty and I could hardly breathe. The impact had knocked the wind out of me. I looked up at the window to see the few men that hadn't been killed upstairs, looking down at us, then turning and heading downstairs. They wouldn't fire their weapons as long as we had the kid. "Louise.." I said as soon as my brain started functioning again and I whirled my head around to see her. She was on her back, Michael cradled in her arms, eyes wide open, still in shock from the fall. "Louise, we have to go!" Jack was still out cold, his head on my stomach so it hadn't been hit too badly. We had landed in the back of an old munitions truck, tearing right through the canvass cover. I rolled over and stood, a little shakily, and swung Jack over my shoulder again. Louise got to her knees and then stood fully. We climbed out of the back of the truck and turned to run. "Stop!" We both froze and heard the sound of multiple guns cock, ready to fire. I looked over to Louise and she looked up at me, her mouth was set in a determined line and her eyes showed no fear. We heard slow clapping and both turned to see the short man with the dirty face walking towards us. "I must say, I am impressed. You are either both very brave or very stupid." I heard Jack groan and he started to move, then tried to sit bolt upright on my shoulder, causing me to drop him. (Although I didn't really try to save him) He hurried to get to his feet and took a step backwards, turning his head around, trying to take in his surroundings. "What happened?" He asked. "That isn't painfully obvious?" I asked, with no sympathy in my voice. "My name is Marco Sanchez, leader of the Diablo rebellion. And who are you?" We all just stood there, refusing to say anything. "Very well," he said, smirking. "Take the boy and take our new guests to their accommodations." The men moved forward and one of them grabbed Michael. He started screaming and crying, fighting the man that had grabbed him, trying to get back to Louise. I looked at her. Her jaw was clenched, her eyes were hard as steel and I knew that if we got out of this, she would be the one to kill Marco Sanchez. "Don't let them take me!! Please! I don't want to go!!" Michael was screaming. Louise lowered her head. I knew she was trying to block it out. There was nothing she could do for him. The guards had already zip-tied her hands behind her back. Sanchez smirked, showing his ugly, yellow teeth. "Take them away." he said, with a wave of his hand, turning on his heel and heading inside. Jack was dumb enough to try to fight and was hit in the back of the head with the butt of a gun, knocking him unconscious again. We were taken inside and shoved down several fights of stairs. The room at the bottom of the stairs was large and was wall-to-wall cells. Louise and I were shoved into separate cells across from each other. I stood at the door to my cell, watching the guards walk away, then looked over at Louise. She was sitting on the ground, looking off into space. "Louise.." I said, a little above a whisper. She sighed, then looked at me. Her eyes, usually bright and full of hope, showed no emotion and she didn't say anything. "We'll get him back, you know that. The others got away. They will come back for us." At this point, at who knows how many feet underground, in a steel cell, and surrounded by brick and metal, I didn't know if I was convincing her or myself. We heard a groan and looked over at the cell next to the wall where they had thrown Jack. He groaned again and rolled over, trying to sit. "Easy. You took quite the hit." Louise said. He opened his eyes as much as he could, (One was swollen shut... My fault) and looked at Louise, then me. "What happened? Where are we?" He asked, putting his hand over his eye and wincing. "We fell out a 2 story window and got caught, remember?" I asked, sinking to the ground in the corner of my cell with a sigh. "What about the kid?" Louise bit her lip, then answered. "We don't know where they took him." Jack looked at her for a minute, then lowered his head and looked at his boots. Louise stood slowly, holding her side and wincing. "Careful, something might be broken." I said. She glanced at me then turned to examine her cell. "We need to get out of here." Jack said, watching Louise. "Thank you, Captain Obvious." I scoffed, turning my head to give him a look of disgust. "I don't know why you're always such a jerk. We're all in this together.." I cut him off before he could finish. "Ok, first, this isn't "High School Musical" and second, don't pretend you're part of this team. The only reason you're even here is because Vos thought we needed a babysitter." Jack scoffed a little and shook his head. "No, I'm here because Vos thought YOU needed a babysitter. You almost killed one of the best agents the North Star has and, in doing so, proved that you still can't be trusted with the lives of others. You never actually moved past the "street kid" phase... You'll never really be an agent." He grinned as he finished speaking, clearly satisfied with himself. I didn't know how to respond. His words had hurt, hitting all the places that I was insecure about...all the things I secretly feared. "That's enough, Jack." Louise spoke. He looked at her and his smile quickly faded. He said in a low tone, "You know it's true, Louise." She didn't reply. She stood there staring at him, her eyes cold and her lips pressed together in a tight line. Finally, he dropped his eyes and she looked at me, shaking her head slightly. She knew I blamed myself and deep down I believed what Jack had said but even in the beginning she had always been able to make me feel like I belonged, even if no one else did. I forced a smile, then dropped my eyes back to my boots. "Good news is they wont kill us yet. They want information." Louise said, changing the subject. "That's true." Jack said, "But I bet they won't be too friendly about getting it." Louise nodded, then everyone fell silent. We knew whatever the next few days held would be anything but pleasant.
