Chapter 1

"WHATS GOING ON!" I screamed after my mother after being nearly killed by what seemed to be some kind of Minotaur.

"It's alright honey, d-don't worry, all will be explained very soon okay"

"M-mom am I crazy? Am I going insane?" I asked while catching my breath

"N-no baby now get in the car"

"Mom...", I stopped and looked at her "does this have something to do with dad?" She looked at me, worry written all over her face.

"It has something to do with him"
I got inside the front seat of the car. "Mom can you at least tell me where we're going"

"Its a camp for special people like you"

"QWow so I am crazy"

"No babygirl you're not crazy", she sighed, " look it is about your father. Baby, you're father-

"Dad doesn't care about me. If he cared, he wouldn't have left us all alone"

"Babygirl, I love you so much okay and you mean the world to me and I promise you that your father feels the same way"

"I love you too mom but-"
All of a sudden all I could see was black as I heard my mom screaming my name. Her voice was fading away. Eventually it was silent

My name is Alexis but I go by Alex. I am seventeen years old. I live in Brooklyn NY with my mom in some run down apartment. Life is pretty hard. Most of my life I've been bullied but I don't like to tell people that. I keep to myself most of the time so you'll rarely catch me opening up to people. I'm not like most people though, most people have that one best friend who they can count on. Welp not me. I only got myself and my mom and that's all I need

I slowly felt myself awakening

"Yo she's waking up" I heard someone say. I opened up my eyes to see this guy standing over me

"W-where am I? What the hell happened? Where's my mother? Who are you?" I asked very fast

"Woahhh slow down there" the guy said while laughing

"Do you know what happened to me?"

"Yes actually. You were attacked by a Minotaur right?" I nodded my head as he continued, "well during that fight you had adrenaline rushing through you. When you were driving you were relaxed and that's when everything hit you so you passed out. It's natural"

I looked away as I took in that information.

"Oh and my name is Grover by the way"

"Nice to meet you. I'm Alexis but you can call me Alex"

"Ight Alex you want a tour of this place"

"Yeah sure" I sighed already missing my mother. I got out the bed in the refernery room and looked at Grover

"What the fuck?! Dude where's your legs?" I asked frightened

"These are my legs. I'm a satyr you hearddddd", he said cockily, "didn't you notice my horns" he says while pointing to his head

"I mean you have your hoodie on so I obviously wouldn't be able to see it" I said sarcastically

"Oh shit my fault, ay no need to be sarcastic" he responded while laughing. I laughed too

"So where you from ma?"

"I'm from Brooklyn"

"Well welcome to Camp Half-Blood" he said with his arms opened gesturing for me to look around
