I giggled at Namjoon's request, but nonetheless I followed it. I turned and faced myself toward where his voice came from, and uncupped my hands from my eyes. I peered up expecting to see him standing above me, but was confused by the absence of his gaze back at me. Before I had a chance to peer down, my hands were clasped in his gently.

I peered down, my eyes beginning to water at the sight of Namjoon on one knee, smiling fondly toward me. I let go of his hands and covered my mouth, holding back the squeals which threatened to overflow.

"Kim Taehyung," Namjoon began, dipping his hand into his coat pocket and bringing out a deep purple, velvety box. He propped it up in the palm of his hand, and opened it, revealing a beautiful band laced with gems inside it.

"I love you to the moon and back," He began again, cupping my cheek with his free hand, wiping my tears away, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I've decided no matter the disaster, it's always beautiful as long as I'm with you. When I think of home, I think of you... and I want to spend the rest of my life feeling this way. I want to rest in the stars with you, Taehyung."

My voice hitched in my throat as I hiccupped through my sobs. I was already nodding my head yet he hadn't even popped the question. He stroked my cheek gently again to gain my attention and held out the ring toward me, his cheeks flushed a soft pink and his gaze filled with adoration as we met eyes.

"Will you marry me?"

I collapsed from where I sat and fell right into Namjoon's arms. I nodded my head and let him slip the band on my finger before burying my face into the crook of his neck, crying and hugging him tightly. I pulled my head back after a few moments and locked our lips in a passionate and fervorous kiss. I hung my arms loosely around his neck and melted into the kiss, feeling complete. I never expected the day I'd be proposed to, but now that it happened, I never wanted it to end.

As we ended the kiss, breathless, I peered into my fiance's eyes, smiling vehemently before nuzzling into the crook of his neck again. "I love you so much Kim Namjoon, god I love you," I grinned, feeling his arms secure themselves around me before he lifted me up, setting me on top of a cold surface.

Bringing my head up, I looked down to see Namjoon sitting on the bench that belonged to the piano in his music room. It dawned on me that he had proposed near the very instrument we had fallen in love beside. My heart fluttered about my chest as I heard soft melodies ring throughout the room.

I lied down on my stomach, propping my hands beneath my chin while my elbows rested against the piano. I watched closely as Namjoon played, making eye contact with me every so often. His lips parted and he took a breath in before singing a song he'd composed. Between the lull of the piano and the rich sound of his husky voice, I'd never felt more in love. I listened to the lyrics, finding myself blushing at the condensed story of our falling in love.

When it came to a slow end, I leaned over the piano and planted a deep kiss to those plush lips of Namjoon's again, smiling into it and scooting myself off the piano and into his lap. There we sat for a long while, whispering sweet nothings to each other and reveling in the moment.

Our time was cut short by the buzzing of my phone in my pocket, followed by a text from Jimin that read something about dinner. I shuffled out of Namjoon's lap and stood, stretching my limbs before falling back into Namjoon as he arose. He chuckled and swept me off my feet, carrying me bridal style toward the doors to leave.

"Jimin said dinner is almost done so we need to come home, " I said softly, resting my cheek to my lover's chest. His chest puffed as he inhaled, and I kissed at his chest until it pulled back away with his exhale.

"I know baby. Let's head home and eat, then we can snuggle in bed together and I can keep serenading you about how beautiful you are and how lucky I am~" He cooed against my head as he took in the scent of my hair. I wrapped my arms around his neck for security and closed my eyes as we made our way back to the apartment.

I hadn't realized it but I had fallen asleep somewhere between the road and our front door because when I woke up, I was met with the absence of Namjoon's warmth, and found myself swaddled in a blanket on the couch. I rubbed my eyes groggily and pushed myself upright, keeping the blanket wrapped around me as I searched for the others. When I came into the kitchen, I was met with beaming grins and a few squeals and clapping.

"Congratulations!!" The two situated farthest from me at the table called out together, wooing and clapping. I looked down at the band situated on my ring finger. Ruby, opal, and another stone I'm unsure of resided in it. I thanked the two and found myself smiling uncontrollably as I sat down beside Namjoon at the table, blanket kept tightly around myself.

The group were gathered eating dinner, and I didn't have the energy to gather myself a plate, so I stole bites from Namjoon. As I ate, I examined the ring, and wow it was beautiful. Knowing Namjoon, the gems all had reason and purpose. I held my hand closer to Namjoon's on the table and compared our rings. His thick gold band was encrusted with the same jewels as mine, and I felt my heart dance in my chest again.

"Hey Joonie?" I gathered his attention, wiggling my fingers and gesturing toward the ring, "Do the gems have meanings?"

"Of course they do baby," He smiled, gently bringing my hand into his palm as he began to explain the gems. "The one on the left is aquamarine. It symbolizes courage and good health, and so of course I want my baby to be safe," He kissed my cheek sweetly before continuing. "The one in the middle is opal, and it means love and hope. Pretty self explanatory. I put it in the center because I wanted love to encompass it all. And on the right is ruby, which is supposed to help keep love thriving, and bring wealth and wisdom," He chuckled as he ran his thumb over the ring before lifting my hand to admire it. "I want all of these things for us, so it only made sense to include them on the ring. That and you told me you love opals, so that might have been a factor in it being the center piece-"

I giggled, finding myself leaning against his shoulder as I took his hand beneath the table into my own. "What did I do to deserve you, Kim Namjoon?" I said inwardly, smiling at the thought of what our future could become.
