Gray and Juvia were on the second floor of the guild playing chess. They had just got back from a job and needed to cool off. They had played six games and gray won them all.

"Graaay samaaa, how are you so good at this?" Juvia whined "you've won every game we played" she whined some more.

"I don't know maybe because your rubbish at chess" gray smirked as an idea popped up in his head " tell you what, if you win the next game I'll ... give you a kiss" Juvia looked at him with heart eyes

"Yeeeessssss!!! Juvia sure to win now" Juvia said
"We'll see" Gray smirked

They reset the chess board and started playing again. It was hard for gray to let Juvia win, not because he wanted to win but because she was absolutely horrendous at chess. She was making moves where Gray could easily win the game but he had it make it as real as possible. He made moves that were easy for Juvia to spot and make her move to being closer to winning the game.

After of what seemed like an hour they were tied, both the exact same chess pieces left on the board. It was only the matter of moves they did to see who wins.

"YEEESSSSS!! I won! I did it!" Juvia screamed with victory as she took out grays last piece.

"Well good job Juvia" Gray congratulated her even tho he let her win.
She's so lucky she has me and I'm so lucky I have her.

"Alright Gray sama you own me, now pay up" Juvia stood up and walked to him.

Gray stood up
"Alright here"
Gray leaned in
And..

Kissed her cheek

"Graaay samaaa" Juvia whined
"Relax I was just kidding, here your real reward" gray leaned in again and kissed her plumb lips. Their lips danced in sync, they were a perfect fit for each other.

Gray felt a blush creep on his cheeks trying his best to fight it off but failed. They pulled away Juvia's face was a red as a tomato. Gray had a medium blush on his face.

"W-well that was fun, let's do it again sometime" Gray recomposed himself and winked at Juvia then walked away. He smirked when he saw her face get more reddier.

Gray blushed again

He growled at himself

He went down the stairs to the second floor and sat at the bar. Erza walked up to him.
"You let her win, didn't you?" She asked already knowing the answer

"Y-Yeah" gray answered. " Wait, how did you know I let her win?" Gray asked

"Because I've played chess with her before, worst player ever" erza commented

"You didn't have to say you would kiss her" erza said

"I-I know" gray looked away hiding his blush.

"So why did you?" Erza asked

"S-So s-she could have some m-motivation to win" gray explained nervously

"But if you were gonna let her win, why give her motivation?" Erza asked smirking

... "w-well I um" Gray was freaking out he couldn't tell her the truth she'll never let him live it down.
"S-shut u-up" Gray said because her couldn't find an answer

"Ok then" and with that erza walked off.
Phew close one

Gray spotted Juvia sitting down talking to Mira, she was smiling brightly
She's gonna be the death of me

Erza walked up to her and they had conversation, gray knew what they were taking about because Juvia's face with a tomato again and Mira was squealing about her OTP.

Gray couldn't take his eyes off Juvia. He watched her for the next like 20 minutes or so. When Mira walked up to him, him not knowing of coarse becomes he's watching Juvia.

"Awww gruvia" Mira whispered
Gray looked at her confused but she just smirked. When gray realises she caught him watching Juvia he freaked out. He ran out the guild, Mira just laughed.

• the next day•

Gray entered the guild, when he spotted Juvia a smile spread across his face. He walked up to her.

"Hey Juvia" He greeted her
"Oh hello Gray sama" Juvia smiled
Damn the smile
"Want to go on a job with me?" He asked her
"Sure" Juvia replied

They picked a easy, simple job that had good pay. They completes the job collected the reward and went back to the guild.

Gray saw Juvia go up the stairs and followed her. He saw her starting at the chess board.

"Wanna go round 2?" He asked her
She looked at him and blushed madly

That smile, she's gonna be the death of me
