the dream from the night before scared you. you were confused. dreams were just dreams however, and you would have to get on with your life.

throughout the day however, you kept wondering. what did the man say? you wanted to go back into that dream to find out, regardless if it would keep you up late at night once more.

you couldn't sleep after seeing the blue elevator, you didn't understand why you had dreamt about it in the first place. it felt so weird. it was as if you had an out of body experience when you had that dream. you couldn't move or speak as well as you usually could.

so what was stopping you?

"(y/n)!", you were jolted out of your thoughts and back to real life. you quickly remembered, you were at lunch with akira, ann, and ryuji.

"what were you thinking about so intently?" akira asks.

"nothing much" you said.

"if it's nothing then why are you drooling?" ryuji says.

"what?"

"did you finally get to see akita's abs" ann asked with a small laugh.

you wiped your chin and indeed there was no drool or any sign of it. you rolled your eyes at the both of them.

"not yet" you laughed.

the rest of the lunch went on with ryuji and ann arguing per usual and the bell ringing, signaling the beginning of class once more. the rest of the periods went through smoothly, akira fell asleep during one of the lectures and you struggled to wake him up as the teacher was slowly noticing his light snoring. needless to say, he had been caught in the act and the teacher sentenced him for 30 minutes of detention.

being the good friend that you were, you hung out in the library and patiently waited for him so the both of you could walk back home.

when akira came out, he smiled at your presence. surely he thought you would've gone home by now, but you had chosen to stay without him asking. he was thankful for the accompaniment back home.

"how was detention" you teased him as he rolled his eyes.

"quite boring, no one in detention was surprised that i was accompanying them today"

"what a shock, mr. kurusu is a bad boy" you laughed.

the rest of the train consisted of reviewing test scores and complaining about certain teachers and their way of teaching. the two of you were so deep into conversation that you hadn't realized that the both of you were going to get off at the wrong stop. thankfully the both of you didn't, well even if you both did it wouldn't be so bad on your part.

the more time you spent with him, the more fond you became of him. within a span of a few weeks, you had already got to have known so much of this boy and it was nice to be able to get close to someone again.

when you had joined s.e.e.s, your circle of trust got much smaller and smaller and the people becoming fewer and fewer.

to you this was normal, you were content with just having the s.e.e.s. members the people you trusted the most, and they still are to this day. however, it wasn't until s.e.e.s disbanded that you realized that you were going to be alone.

the void that was given to you by the death of your leader had shaken you up. he was someone important to you, an older brother. he guided you in hard times and you appreciated him for that.

you felt like no one was going to fill that void until you met akira. you thought it was crazy how you were replacing minato with your roommate that you had barely met a few weeks ago. but then you realized that you weren't replacing him, you were moving on with your life. something that minato would have wanted for you to do.

you couldn't tell if you were developing a brotherly love or an amorous love towards akira, but you knew for certain that you weren't alone anymore; and that was more important to you.
