Being lead down the street, Fen's hand in mine, I felt intoxicated. I smell the fresh sage on her, she must have some hidden away in her borrowed dress. My Fen, where are you taking Me?
Fen started out waking ahead of me, but as we continued on she slowed her pace to be equally next to me. I would look up at her face every so often. I could not read her emotions, there were too many going on at once. Oddly, worry seemed to be a strong feature on the beauty.
"Fen" I addressed her, my voice drew her out of thought, the worry slowly dissipating but still present. Her eye's meeting mine threw me off guard for a moment, I walked in silence as she looked at me anticipating my furtherment of the conversation. I mentally snapped myself out of it.
I continued "Where exactly is it that you are taking us?"
Her lips dared to curl into a cheeky smile. Her plans obviously amused her.
"Be patient." She encouraged, she knew how to take lead.
I remained silent, better to be patient than keep asking the same question. I am a little excited, like a teenager on their first date. I suppose if I were looking into it this could be considered a first date, unless I were to count the rescue from that first night a date. I smiled, a very wide and genuinely happy smile, Fen couldn't see me. Too busy leading the charge to wherever this journey is taking us.
Maybe 5 minutes or more of walking and we have come out of the grimey part of the city and into what could be considered downtown. Buildings and shops lined either sides of the street, all lit up in warm lights and quite busy unlike the last city. Fen slowed a bit to walk next to me, she lovked her arm into mine and kept leading in silence. Perhaps the worry I sensed was just nerves, maybe she is embarrassed by how forward she is being.
"Right over there." Fen said, raising her arm to point at a theatre a few buildings away. The building wasn't big, but it was certainly the biggest building there.
"Is it a play you want to take me to?" I asked, looking over to my human companion.
Fen shot a quick smile, "Yes sir, or whatever is going on. I was speaking to one of the maids at Ms. Beaumont's estate and she told me they are always playing something very entertaining every night. I've never been to a theatre before." Her cheeks flushed slighty at admitting this but she supressed it. A slave to the slaves would understandably never have been anywhere without her owner accompanying.
As we reached the entrance it wasn't the most grandest theare I've seen. The doors painted to look much larger than they actually were. We entered and it was dark, a man approached with a tin for us to pay, Fen almost giggled dropping the money in and we found seats in the middle of the theatre. It wasn't too packed, maybe 2 dozen people, there were plenty of other open seats between us and the other patrons.
I stared to the left of me at Fen, her eyes fixated on the stage. Fen seemed so innocent then, I felt a heat in the pit of my stomach my eyes tracing down to that beautifully soft neck. Her hair covered it, I wouldn't want to make her uncomfortable and push it away, but thinking about what lies beneath those locks makes that heat much worse.
How is this happening? I am one to take what I want when I want it from a human. Never worrying about if they would be uncomfortable or hate me. I could hold her down right now and she would have no choice but to let me do what I need to do. That would make me no better than that vampire who was raping her. I clench my jaw and turn, staring ahead at the stage with her.
