Chapter Four

  April's POV
      Mum ran into our room panting,"Are you two alright? I heard crying and screaming"
    "We're fine mum  April had a nightmare,  I don't know what about though" Rose said.
      "What was it about? You can tell me anything"  Nurse Anne said.
     "It was about a man called Jeff, who said he was our father,  who played games with us and a girl named Sally.  Then on Monday, two people lit Rose on fire.  And she looked a small bit like Jeff" I explained.
     Mum's eyes widened, "Tomorrow don't leave the house,  don't answer the door or anything.  I'll have to work late Kay?"
    We nodded.
         The next day
        It was Monday morning,  Mum was gone and there was pounding on the front door.
    Me and Rose wake up and walk towards the door.
    "Who is it?" Me and Rose said tiredly in unison.
     "Open the do-"  It's sounded like mum but she was cut off,  by muffled screams.
    Then silence.
         The pounding picked up again.
      "Hurry get the you know what in the safe!" I say.
     Rose nods and gets the gun  and loud it.
     Rose has the best aim out of us two,  so she'll be the one to shoot.
     "Rose,  April sweetie open the door" A voice said,  that sounded like Mum.
    "Don't open it!" Rose yelled.
         "Mum never called us sweetie!" Rose pointed out.
      "Shit!" The voice says,  it's a cold raspy voice.
       "Just open up,  I want to see you!" The voice says.
    "Open it,  April " Rose says coldly.
     I hesitate, but open it.
         Rose and I back up,  "who the hell are you? And what did you do to our mum?" Rose yelled.
    I backed up to the room and grabbed a knife.
     I hid it and walked forward.
         "Answer me!" Rose yells.
             "Your adopted,  and I want to see you two,  I'm your actual father,  Anne lied to you" The man says.
     "I'm Jeff " Jeff said.
         "Yo-you're,  Rose put the gun down.  Remember that man I told you about,  that's him!" I said.
    The man smirked.
         Rose slowly put the gun in her back pocket.
     Jeff kneeled down asking for a hug,  "First I want to see you" Rose says.
     He hesitates, but takes his hood off.
    After that Rose ran and hugged him.
     "You're right it's him. " Rose says happily.
     I walk up and hug him as well.
         "Wanna go to the mansion?" Jeff asked.  We nodded.
      He picked us up,  and ran towards the mansion.
    He opened the door and placed us down.
     "Who is this?" An elf like person asked.
   "Ben,  this is Rose and April,  you know the twins" Jeff explained to Ben.
    "They're cute,  and Rose looks a lot like you Jeff" Ben says.
    Rose smiles and plopped onto the couch.
    I follow.
          Static feels the room,  me and Rose cover our ears.
     A pretty girl,  in a black dress walks down.
        "I'm sorry children,  it'll end soon.  Jeff are these the twins?" A faceless man asked.
    Jeff nodded.
        "In slender man,  you can call me slender. " Slender says. We nod.
     "They're so cute." The pretty girl says to us.
    We smile at the same time.
         "Jane,  only warning.  Stay. The. Hell.  Away.  From.  Them. " Jeff says sternly.
     "Why are you so protective,  what would I do to a child? " Jane asks.
     "Do you want me to answer that" Jeff asks.
     Jane shakes her head.
         Another pretty girl walks down the stairs,  she has a clock in her eye.
    "She looks like she's a clockwork" I whisper to Rose.
    Me and Rose giggled.
        "Did they say something about me?" The girl asks.
    "You look like a clockwork,  get it?" Rose and I say in unison.
    "My name is Clockwork" Clockwork says.
    Me and Rose look at each other.
      A little girl in a pink dress walks down as well.
    "Wanna have a Tea Party?" The girl asks.
    Me and Rose nod,  and follow her.
    She leads us to her room where there's to other people.
    "I'm Sally! That's Toby,  and masky" Sally says.
    "I'm April that's rose " I say to them.
     "Jeff's daughters Huh?" masky asks.
    We nod.
        Sally pours us some Tea, me and  Rose drink at the same time.  Only a sip, though.
      "Delicious" Me and Rose say.
           "T-T-Thank Y-Y-You" Toby says.
    Rose smiles,  "You're welcome" I say.
      "Oh,  and that's Charlie" Sally says pointing at a stuffed bear.
     "Hello Charlie" I say.
         Sally giggles.
         "Sally we have to go,  Slender orders" Masky says.
    Me and Rose nod and wave them good bye.
    "You're staying right? We can play hide and seek! " Sally chinned.
    "Ok! April's it!" Rose says.  Sally smiles.
    I close my eyes, "One....  Two... Three.... Four..... Five..... Six.... Seven... Eight...... Nine..... Ten! Ready or not,  here I come!"
     I went downstairs and checked the kitchen.  I saw a man in a blue mask,  eating what I think is a kidney.
     "Did,  you see Sally and Rose came by here?" I asked.
    "No,  sorry kid" the man says.  I nod,  but look anyways.
   I walk upstairs to the second floor,  and check every room.
    I open a door,  then close it.
       I go to the third floor,  and find Sally in a dark room.  April was under the bed.
     "why is my door open" someone asked walking up the stairs.
    "Hide!" Rose says,  and we hide under the bed.
     "Rose I know your here,  just where" Jeff says.
      "Shh" I say and cover Rose's mouth,  and muffled laughter could be heard.
    "You licked me!" I say.
       Jeff gets on his stomach and sees us.
     "ew ew" I say rubbing my hand on Rose's hoodie.
    Jeff pulls rose out of there.
       "Sally run!" I say crawling out.  I find a shiny thing on my way out,  and grab it.
    Sally starts running,  as so do I.
       "Get back here!" Jeff yelled playfully and chased us.
    "Give me back my knife!" Jeff yelled.
    I open the front door and climb a nearby tree.
     "April,  give me the knife and get down" Jeff says sternly.
     "I can't " I say looking down.
        I hold the tree branch tighter.
    "Drop the knife" Jeff says pointing at me.
     I drop it.
      Jeff catches it.
          He places it down,  and climbs the tree to get me down.
    I hop onto his back,  and he jumps down.
      I jump off his back and rush inside.
    I plop onto the couch.
       "April come here! Third floor!" Rose says.
    I run up to the third floor.
        I see rose and slender by a door.
     The static hurts.
         "Sorry child,  you'll get used to it. Anyways Sally's room is to your right,  and Jeff's or your fathers is to the left" Slender said.
    I smiled and nodded.
        Slender walked off.
           Rose opens the door,  and there's two beds.  One with black covers,  and one with white.
     There's three dressers,  a TV,  a lamp,  two bookshelves, shelves,  and extra boxes.
     There's also a bathroom with everything in it.
    The walls are black and white.
          "So you saw your room Huh?"  Jeff asks.  Sally behind him.
    We nod.
          "Now we can play everyday!" Sally says.
    We smile.
           "oh and you two need to be up by 8 am every morning for breakfast. " Jeff says.
    "but tomorrow we have school at 8 30 am" Me and Rose say.
      "So you'll be up by 8, plus breakfast usually lasts 10 minutes at most" Jeff says.
    We nod.
          Jeff and Sally both walk out as its 6 pm.
    "Oh and it's dinner " Jeff calls out.
    We rush down the stairs and sit next to each other.
      We had spaghetti and meatballs,  Jack had kidneys.
     It's now midnight, "Now you two go to bed" Jeff says sternly.
    Rose smiles at me,  then nods at Jeff.
    I smile back then nod.
         "Don't you dare try to stay up" Jeff warns.
     Rose is already upstairs, "OK,  night!" I say,  walking upstairs towards my room.
     "night" Jeff says.
          I enter my room to see Rose sitting on her bed.  "let's stay up" Rose suggests.
    I giggle,  "OK.  But what will we do? I mean lights go out at 3 am. "
     "Then at 3 am,  we go exploring,  or eating. " Rose says.
     "You like food to much" I giggle.
    "Oh like you don't? " Rose says.
         "OK OK.  Touche" I say.
             "But we have to be quiet. " Rose says.  I nod.
       At 3 am
            "April come on!" Rose whines.
      "I'm up I'm up" I say.
           "Grab your flashlight " Rose says.  I grab my flashlight and we head out.
    We go towards the right,  past Sally's room.
    We find a door labeled library, we open it.
    "Wow" I whisper.
          There's stairs that lead to the to the second part.
    There's Bean bags and everything.
    We hear footsteps outside,  "Did you shut out door?" Rose asks.
    "No I thought you did" I said.
          The footsteps get louder and louder.
    Until they stop right at the door were in.
    "Hide" Rose whispers.
       Rose finds a lose floorboard and we hide there.
    We make sure we can reopen it,  we could.
     The footsteps got louder.
         We marked this floorboard with a red x from a red marker.
     We crawl underneath the floorboards.
     We find another lose one and mark it.  This one leads to the stairs.
      We open it and close it again.
          We walk down stairs to the first floor.
     "There you are"  A familiar voice says.
    "The floorboard" Rose says.
         We crawl back to it,  "Open it open it!" I say.
     Rose opens it and go inside.
         "Dammit, rose April! " Jeff says.
    We giggle.
           We crawl back into the library and then rush to our room.
    We pretend sleep,  while Jeff comes in.
    "I know you're two are up" Jeff says.
      I roll over, eyes shut.
          "Don't pretend" Jeff says.
          I giggle, "Shh" Rose says.
              "It's 3 in the morning,  go. To. Sleep. " Jeff says.
