Chapter Five

   Rose's pov- At 8 am
        April and I wake up,  and head downstairs.
    We only got five hours of sleep, but oh well.
     We both walk into the dinning room,  and eat eggs and bacon.
     After breakfast we get ready for school,  me wearing a black hoodie,  with black ripped jeans.
     April wearing her black and white dress.
     We walk out and wave, "Bye" We say in unison.
    "Bye" Jeff says.
   
           We get onto the bus,  and sit in the back again.
    Those three jerks sit in the front for once..
     "They're up to something " I whisper.
     April nods in agreement.
          We arrived at school and those three pricks took April.
    She was screaming,  but it was muffled,  due to a hand over her mouth.
    I climbed the back tree.
        "Where's your sister?" Courtney asks.
     April keels screaming and looks up,  I put a finger over my mouth.
    I point up a three,  then two,  then one.
    April kicks Bryan where the sun doesn't shine.
    I jump onto Courtney,  and put her in a head lock.
    "Sup bitch" I say.
         I kick her in the knee then take April.
      We continue our normal day.
          I did have a little bit of blood on me,  but no one noticed it.
    We arrive back home and walk towards my room.
     "What's with the blood?" Jeff asks pointing at it.
     "I fell" I lied.
         April nodded.
         "Sure" Jeff said.
              I continued to walk upstairs, towards my room.  Well,  mine and April's.
    I walk into the bathroom,  and lift my hoodie up slightly.
    I see a slice mark at the side of my stomach.
   "Dammit" I mumbled.
        I walked back out to see Sally playing with April,  "Wanna play?" Sally asks.
    "Maybe later" I say.
       Sally nods and keeps playing with April.
      I look around for Jack's room,  until I find it on the second floor.
    I knock on it.
      "Come in" Jack says.
          I open the door,  "Could you help me with this" I ask,  slightly lifting my hoodie.
    "What the hell happened? " Jack asks looking at it.
    "Long story" I say.
        Jack nods and walks to get the first aid kit.
       Jack walks back in and stitches the cut,  "I was never here Kay?" I ask.
   Jack nods, "Sure"
      "Thanks" I say and walk out.
           I walk back towards Sally and April,  "What are we playing? " I ask.
    "Tag" April says.
        "Who's it?" I ask.
       "Sally" April says.
        Me and April start running.
        Sally chases after me,  and tags me where my cut is,  I flinch.
    A few people seem to notice.
         "Why'd you flinch when she tagged you?" Ben asked.
     "Didn't expect it" I lie.
         Ben nods.
             I give them a ten second hit start,  then rush my way towards April.
    I tag April.
       She gives us a ten second head start then tackles me,  I hiss.
    Again,  a few people notice.
       "Of" I say,  pretending that my head hurts.
     April gets off.
         "I'll be right back" I say heading towards the bathroom.
    The doors open,  I walk in and shut the door.
     I lift my hoodie to check on the stitches,  they're still there and tight.
   I walk out.
      Sally, April,  and I continue to play tag.  Everytime I get tagged on my right side I flinch,  even when I expect it.
    This time,  I hide in a cupboard  so it doesn't happen.  Seeing sense Jeff will be back soon.
    I hear the front door open,  he must be home now I think to myself.
     Sally giggles and finds me,  she tags my kinda hard on my right side and I hiss.
    "Why'd you hiss?" Jeff asks looking at me.
    "No reason" I lied.
         "Don't lie to me" He says.
        "I think I'd know if I was lying" I say and walk off.

       Jeff's POV
         Jack walks up to me,  "Although she told me not to tell you" Jack started.
   "Say it" I say,  kinda growling.
     "She came to me asking to stitch up a deep slash wound on her right side" Jack explains. 
    "Why'd she keep that from me? Of all things " I say.
      "Probably didn't want to worry you,  or draw attention.  Or maybe she wanted to deal with it her self" Jack suggests.
    I sigh, "Rose get down here" I half yell.
   Rose slowly walks down,  "Yes?" she asks.
    "Let me see " I say.
        "See what?" Rose asks.
       " I know about the cut,  let me see now" I say,  sternly.
    She slightly lifted her hoodie on the right side and showed me the cut.
   "Who did that?" I asked.
       "I actually don't know that one" She said. I could tell she wasn't lying.
    "It kinda just appeared after the first half of the day" She says.
     "Mhm " I say.
         "Don't lie to me next time" I say.
    She nods, "Sure"
         She mumbled something that I can't quite make out.
    "What was that?" I asked.
         "Oh nothing" She says while smiling, then walks off.
       What did she say?
          Rose's pov
             I walk off,  towards the back yard.
      "Rose where are you going?" April asks.
     "Out for a walk,  stay here" I say.
     April nods and walks off,  probably to go find Sally.
    I hop over the fence, and walk straight.  I don't know where I'm going,  all I know is that I have a gun and I'm not afraid to use it.
    I hear barking,  then I smile dog.
    "Come here smile" I say playfully.
     Smile hops over the fence and runs towards me.
    I grab a stick and throw it,  hoping to play fetch.
    Smile chases the stick, and brings it back to me.
    "one bark for keep playing,  two barks for a walk" I say.
    Smile barks twice.
        I smile and start walking forwards into the woods,  smile beside me.
    I'm shocked that he hasn't tried to run off yet,  seeing sense he doesn't have a leash.
     We keep running until something tackles me to the ground,  I hiss holding my side.
    Smile growls at the figure,  and he attacks it.
    I crawl away and draw my gun.
       I shoot one warning shot,  right by the figures head,  showing I'm not messing around.
     The figure backs up,  then runs off.
     I feel a pain in my side again,  I check the ditches to see them still there,  but I bite mark to the left of it.  I guess you could yell sense there is a bite mark like hole in my hoodie.
    I walk back clutching my side,  smile stops in front of me.  I tilt my head in confusion.
    He gets lower,  kinda like he wants me to get onto his back,  which I end up doing.  I climb onto his back and hold on tight,  but not right enough to hurt him.
      He runs towards them mansion pretty fast too.
     I lay down on my back and let the wind blow over me.  Every now and again I'd check the wound,  it wasn't that deep to force a ton of blood out.  Only like a fee lines,  nothing a smile bandage couldn't fix.
    We arrive in the back yard and I check for my gun,  I want to know I have it,  but of course I don't.
    I must of dropped it along the ride back here.
   Of course the rip in my hoodie wasn't that big either,  hard to notice even.
    It doesn't even hurt actually.  I'm kinda surprised,  I guess it couldn't get a good bite,  cause of smile.
    I walk off to attempt to find a stick or something to play fetch with,  even tug of war. 
   I find a dog toy,  that's for tug of war.
    "Tug of war?" I asked smile.
      He wags his tail excitedly. I put one end of the toy in his mouth then the other in my hand.
   He begins tugging on it,  as so do I.  I plant me feet into the ground,  so I won't fall.
     We keep playing until Jeff calls out, "Rose dinner"
    I drop the toy and scratch smile behind the ears and walk off.
     I walk inside the mansion and leave the door open slightly for smile to come in.
   After smile comes in I shut the door,  and walk towards the dinning hall.
    We're having a variety of things, cube steak,  steak-well done,  left over spaghetti and meatballs,  and garlic bread.
      I grab a plate of cube steak,  with a little bit of ketchup to dip in.  Jeff cuts it for me, and cuts April's as well.
       "It's the time of month,  which my brothers we be visiting us" Slender says.
    Me and April look at each and send the same vibe towards each other.  That we have no idea who they are.
     "You'll meet them tomorrow " Slender says looking over at us.  We nod and begin eating.  After we finish eating,  me and April put our plate away in the kitchen and rinse them off.
    "Thank you for making my job easier" Jane says.  We smile.
    April and I walk off after that,  not wanting to start another fight with her and our dad.
      April gets into the shower first,  and I brush my teeth.  I finish brushing my teeth after three minutes.
    After April gets out of the shower,  she brushes her hair right after.  She leaves the water running for me.  I get in and take my shower.  While April brushes her teeth.
    I get out and brush my hair,  get the nots out.
    We both change into our pjs and turn the TV on.  We watch YouTube.  We watch Ssundee modded TNT.  (if you don't know it's just him and a friend making TNT cannons in Minecraft and are trying to kill each other.  Hope that helps. )
     After a while,  we fall asleep.
