Rose's POV
Me and April both wake up and walk downstairs.
"Mum?" I ask.
We both look for her and don't see anything.
We regroup in the kitchen, "Did you find her?" I ask.
"No, you? " April asks.
"No, if I did I wouldn't have asked you!" I say.
"I heard a really weird dream last night" April says.
"I did too. " I say.
I look at the fridge and saw a note.
"Was this note her earlier?" I ask.
April shakes her head.
"It says, ' I'll be going on a work trip. There's pizza in the fridge, cookies in your room. Chips in the pantry. If you can't reach them there's a step stool in the closet. There's also drinks in the fridge, remember only one Coke or Dr. Pepper a day.'" I say.
"Mum wrote that" April asks.
I nod in response.
"Why would she have work on Saturday? " I ask.
"I don't know, Maybe she got unlucky or something " April says.
"True" I agree.
"did it say anything about the popcorn?" April asks.
I hear the TV in the living room act up, then someone come out of it.
I scream, then so does April.
"Heh, did I scare you?" The person asks.
"Hey mister, why are you an elf?" I ask.
"Does he work for Santa?" April asks smiling.
"Who's that?" The boy chuckles.
"So he doesn't work for Santa." April says.
"Yeah, and anyways I'm Ben you two are?" Ben asks.
"I'm rose, and that's April" I say.
"Wait a second. " Ben says.
"Huh?" We ask in unison slightly confused.
"Are you two Woods?" Ben asks.
"Uhm not that I know of. " I say looking at April.
"No, oh but remember in that dream there was a hooded man named Jeff. Maybe he was?" April says.
"Hold up, You said dream right. You sure that wasn't real?" Ben asks.
"Well it seemed pretty real to me. Oh yeah I remember now.. " I say.
"Huh Rose?" April asks.
I clenched my fists, "We're adopted, and that hooded man wanted to see us. Anne lied to us!" I say to April.
"Oh yeah.... " April agrees.
"OK then " Ben says.
"I know your actual father" Ben says.
"He wants to meet you two, so if you'd come with me. " Ben asks holding out his hand.
April takes it, "Come on Rose!" April says.
I walk up and grab my sisters hand and Ben takes us threw the TV.
And a lot of eyes are on us.
"Jeff here they are" Ben says pretty loud.
I cover my ears.
The hooded man practically runs down the stairs and looks at us.
"Here are these two adorable children?" A girl I'm a black dress says.
"Stay away from them Jane" The hooded man growls.
"Now why would I do that? I'm Jane, that's Jeff. You already met Ben" Jane says.
"OK then" I say walking towards the couch and I sit on it. April follows.
"Jane" Jeff growls.
"Child come down, who are these two kids?" Someone with no face says.
Both me and April hold our ears from the static.
"I'm sorry children, it'll go away soon. My name is slender man, but call me slender" Slender says.
We nod.
"That's April and Rose" Jeff says.
"You're twin daughters? I thought they were with Nurse Anne" Slender says.
Then a girl with a pink dress runs down, " wanna have a Tea Party?" She asks.
"Sure" Both me and April say in unison.
The little girl leads us up stairs to where I think is her room.
"I'm Sally, this is Toby, Ej, and Charlie " Sally says pointing at them.
"I'm rose and that's April" I say.
"How did you get here?" Ej asks.
"The TV in the living room with what was his name. Ben" Me and April say in unison.
"So your the twins?" Toby asks twitching.
We nod at the same time. We take a seat next to each other.
"Jeff's daughters? Ej asks.
"Uhm we lived with Anne for seven years" April says.
"So Jeff's daughters" Ej says.
I nod.
Sally pours us tea, and I take a sip.
"Delicious " Me and April say in unison.
"Thank you" Toby says.
"You are welcome" I say, April smiles.
Sally also hands us cookies as well.
"Thank you, Sally" I say.
"You're welcome" Sally says.
"Sally I have to go" Both Toby and Ej say.
"You're stay right?" Sally asks us.
We nod.
"Yay!" Sally chimes.
We smile.
"Wanna play Hide and Clap?" I ask.
"What's that?" Sally asks.
"One of us gets blind folded, and we spin that person until the count of three. Then the two other people go and hide. You stay blindfolded and count to ten.
Then you go and find us while blind folded. You get to ask for three claps, and after 5 minutes the game ends if you didn't find one of us" I explain.
"Sure let's play! Can I be it?" Sally asks. We nod and blind fold her.
"One..... Two... Three...... " We say and go of to hide.
"here!" I say and open the door. It pretty dark in here, though we hide by the door.
"FIRST clap" Sally yells.
We clap loudly.
After a few minutes, "Second Clap!" Sally yells.
We clap loudly.
She opens the door to the room we are in.
"Third clap. " Sally says.
April claps and I clap silently.
"Gotcha" Sally says getting April. April screams for a second then we all laugh.
"That was fun, who did I get?" Sally says.
"April" I say.
"April's it!" Sally says taking the blindfold off.
We hear footsteps coming towards this room.
"Who went in my room?" Jeff asked.
Sally giggles, I cover her mouth.
"Sally?" Jeff says kneeling I'm front of us.
"And April and Rose" Sally says.
"What are you three doing in my room?" Jeff asks.
"Playing hide and clap you wanna play?" Sally says.
Me and Rose give him puppy dog eyes.
"Sure how'd you play?" Jeff asks.
We explain it to him.
"Oh and April's it. " I say.
We take her to Sally's room and Jeff blind folds her.
"One.... Two..... Three... " We say then we all go off somewhere.
I'm hiding with Sally and Jeff's in front of us.
"First clap!" April yells.
All three of us clap.
She walks down stairs and says, "Second clap. "
We clap again.
April walks towards the kitchen and says, "third clap"
Only Sally claps.
Me and Jeff both clap quietly, April smirks and gets me.
"Hey!" I say loudly. "Get off!" I say trying to push her off. Jeff takes off her blindfold.
"oh hi Rose!" April says smiling.
"I didn't even clap" I said.
"Oh well" she said giving me the blindfold.
We go back to Sally's room.
"After this round, if I don't get it, I'm done K?" Jeff says.
"Yeah yeah" I say. He puts the blind fold on.
The spin me and count to three.
"Four..... Five.... Six... Seven.... Eight... Nine..... Ten.. Ready or not here I come!" I say.
I hear April giggle then Sally shushing her.
"First clap" I say leaning against a door.
They all clap, it's coming from this room.
I open it and walk towards the closet.
"second clap" I say.
I hear a loud clap from the closet and open it. I get someone.
"Gotcha!" I say.
Someone takes my blindfold off.
"Heh you have to play now!" I laugh.
"Only one round" Jeff says.
We step out and April and Sally giggle.
"Oh and by the way, I'd recommend you be very quiet, I have sharp senses. "Jeff says. We nod.
I blind fold him.
"One..... Two...... Three.... " We say. I find a lose floorboard and open it, "Under here" I say.
We all go under there.
"First clap" Jeff says.
We all clap very loudly, proud of the spot.
"Second clap" Jeff says.
We clap louder.
He walks over us. We giggle.
"Third clap" Jeff says.
We clap very loud.
"OK where are you?" he says. I try to lift the floorboard but I can't.
I look at them asking for help we all try but it won't budge.
"DOWN HERE!" I yell on top of my lungs.
"Where?" Jeff asks a little worried.
"UNDER THE FLOORBOARDS" All of us yell. I find a flashlight and turn it on, so there light coming up there.
I believe he sees it, as he takes the floor board off.
"How the hell do you fit down there?"He asks.
He picks us up one by one and puts us on the floor. I cough, "way to dusty" I say.
"Agreed" April says.
