The first week of classes went by pretty smoothly. A couple days ago Professor Mcgnagall found the Gryffindore Quiddich team a seeker, Harry Potter. Now they only need a beater. I really want to be that beater.

I was walking into the great hall with the twins by my side when Angelina Johnson, one of the chasers came up to us.

"I hear you're trying out for the beater position, Finnigan. Good luck." She said to me, which was weird since we don't really know each other.

"Thanks!" I say smiling and hug her, what can I say? I'm a hugging person!

The twins and I go and eat breakfast when I'm tapped on the shoulder. I turn around to see Professor McGonagal.

"Oh, good morning Professor!" I say.

"Good morning Miss Finnegan," she says. "Good luck at tryouts today. I wouldn't want anyone else having that position."

I was flabbergasted. I mean she was my second favorite teacher, behind Professor Snape which is weird for a Gryffindor. "Thank you," I said. "That means a lot."

She nodded and then headed out side. "We should probably get going." George said finishing his toast. "Don't want you to be late"

We head down to the pitch and see about 12 people there. All older guys. "Let's just go back," I said, "I can't hit a bludger nearly as far as they can."

As I turned around George picked me up by my waist and carried me to the middle of the guys, who turned to stare at me.

"Stay," Fred said pointing his finger at me. "We'll be in the stands rooting for you."

They waved and turned walking away. Before I could run after them, the other people trying out started whispering about me.

"She doesn't have a chance!" One said.

"She'll never make it." Said another.

"Why does she even bother?" Asked a third.

"Because I'm a Gryffindor." I said turning to him. "Aren't we supposed to show courage? Be brave? Try new things?"

"Yeah but, you're a girl!" He said.

"Well then. Let's just see who makes it then, yeah?" I said.

"Fine. 5 galleons it's not going to be you." He stated earning laughter from his friends.

"You're on." I say shaking his hand. I pull him closer so I can whisper in his ear, "don't cry when you lose."

"Okay!" Oliver said, "I'm going to run you guys through some drills and then we'll see how you do."

I did really well. Fred and George were cheering most of the time and I saw Professor McGonagal had her fingers crossed.

"Some of you did good, some did great, and a couple did excellent," Wood said looking at us afterwards, "but there's only one position, so the results will be posted in the common room tomorrow after dinner. Good luck."

"You'll need it." The guy from earlier said laughing at me.

I was about to punch him when Fred and George tackled me in a hug. "You were fantastic!" Fred said proudly.

"Bloody brilliant!" George answered.

"Thanks guys," I say, "um- guys! Can't- breath!"

"Sorry" they say and let me go.

"Geez, you two hug like your mother!" I said gasping for breath.

"You don't complain about her hugs!" George said.

"I love her! She's like a mother to me, and she make good food." I said defensively, as we walk up to the castle.

"Yeah yeah, you always have an excuse." Fred teased.

"Oh shut up." I said shoving his arm. He rubbed it like I hurt him.

"We still need to do our beginning of the year prank!" George said once we got to the common room.

"Oh yeah!" I said. "We can plan after dinner, I'm to tired to think," I say flopping onto a couch.

"Oh you poor baby!" George said sitting on my legs.

"Get off." I said, but since my face was in the couch cotion it was illegible.

"What?" The twins asked.

"Get off!" I said flipping him off of my legs. I stand up as the two of them start to laugh, and I soon join in. After we had caught our breath I grabbed both of their hands and pull them to the great hall. "I'm hungry."

"First you're tired and then you're running off for food! Make up your mind!" Fred complained.

"Oh shut it, and eat," I said shoving mashed potatoes in his mouth. George laughed.

After about five minutes of eating I stood up. "Well, I'm going to bed." I said. I kissed George's cheek and hugged Fred "goodnight!" I called walking away.

When I got up to my dorm I thought. 'What force made me kiss George's cheek?' I crawled under the covers and fell asleep.
