The last couple of days I had been feeling awful. I knew why of course, the full moon is tonight. Professor Snape had convinced me to keep wolfsbane potion on a chain around my neck, just incase I forgot to take it.

"Miss Finnegan, pay attention." Snape snapped at me during potions.

"Sorry professor." I said rubbing my eyes.

"See me after class." He said turning to complain about Fred's brewing potion.

I put my finished potion in a vial and walked up to Snape's desk. I placed it down and turned to walk back to my desk.

After about 5 minutes everyone was dismissed. "Good luck" George whispered in my ear as he left with Fred and Lee.

They closed the door, and I walked up to Snape's desk.

"Are you okay, Amara?" He asked me.

"I'm sure you know the answer to that, professor." I say hitting my head on his desk.

He put his hand under my head to stop me, "that'll only make it worse." He said.

I just looked at him. "I'll get your potion." He said standing up and going to a cupboard behind his desk. He pulled out the green liquid and put his hand out for my vial.

I unhooked it from my neck and handed it to him. "Amara, I understand that this time of the month is difficult for you, but you still need to pay attention as much as you can." He said filling the vial and handing it back to me.

"I'm trying professor, but it's so difficult when your also focusing on trying not to snap at people who care." I answered clipping the vial back around my neck and putting it under my shirt and tie.

"I understand-" he started.

"No you don't." I interrupted, "no one does. I'm just happy there is a potion to keep me from killing everything in my path."

"Amara-"

"Professor, I should leave. I'm sorry I snapped but it needed to be said. Good day." I said and left the room.

Being a werewolf is so annoying! It's like having two periods! I haven't even told the twins because I don't want them to get involved and then getting hurt.

That night after dinner, I told the twins I was going to bed early, and went outside. I uncorked the potion and drank it. Then I ran into the Forbidden Forest and waited. Soon the full moon was uncovered and my painful transformation coursed through my body.

When it was over I curled up in a ball by a tree and cried myself to sleep.
