When I woke up, I was in a cozy cabin laid out in a soft Elegant bed. The sheets were white with traces of gold frills at the edge. The blanket that covered me was thick and heavy with a checkered pattern, with gold and blue squares. I slowly prompted myself up noticing the popping sound of a fire in the other room, curious as to where I may be, I made my way to the source only to find that the door was locked. I tried pulling on the shiny black knob hoping that my attempts would prove successful, but to no avail I had given up trying the door so I turned to the window that was by my bedside. It was wide open and I could feel a gentle breeze brush past cooling down the hot summer air, "What time is it?" I muttered to myself as I made my way to the open window to see if I could get some indication as to where I might be.

The cabin I was in was small and was resting on top a hill, alone by itself, leading down a dirt path. From the front of the cabin, it lead to the bottom of the hill where a little ways off was a small town too far to make out any defining details, but one thing was for sure, I had no clue where I was, "I don't think we're in Manhattan anymore Totto." Quickly I turned to see a tan guy walking into my room wearing dark sunglasses and a tie dye t-shirt, his dirty blonde hair was long coming down past his shoulders. He was wearing swimming shorts and slip-on sandals, standing in the doorway as if waiting to see what I would do.

"You know where I'm from?" I asked taking extra caution with how I moved to face him. He smiled, raising his arm, "I wouldn't be much of a seer if I couldn't keep track of everyone now would I?" I paused in astonishment by his arm! I didn't see it until now, but both of his entire arms were covered with eyes only leaving his hands free and normal looking. "Those can't be real?" I started saying, but as soon as those words left my lips, ALL the eyes did a collective blink! "You where saying?" The guy said with a smug smile on his face. "Right, so what's the deal here, last I remember I kicked the bucket. Is this the afterlife or something?" "Yep, though this is more of the hub for people that die. Come on, I'll give you a tour around the place and get you set up." He turned to the front door leaving me alone in the room with my thoughts I was hoping it was all a dream. That what happened last night was NOT REAL! Being dead now doesn't hurt, but my whole life was just taken away from me, my friends and family, my responsibilities, my work, all my achievements were gone and meant nothing! I couldn't help but feel a sense of hopelessness wash over me, "You coming?", I heard from outside the cabin.

Without saying anything, I made my way to the exit and followed the thousand eye guy. We walked in silence for what felt like years until I asked, "What's your name?", he looked at me and said in a mellowtone as if he was able to read what was going on in my head, "Tony."
