The second I saw Melanie walk through the door I did a double take. It's like I couldn't believe it was her. She looked so different. Miniskirt, lacy croptop, vans and the makeup. I mean she always did smokey eye, I think that's what you call it right? Almost everyone in the class told her how her eyes were dull so she began her thing with eye makeup. Anyway. She looked extremely hot. She's always been hot to me but this is different. You could see part of her belly button ring. Wait I didn't know she even had a belly button ring. And she has contacts not those cute glasses she used to wear. When she came in the classroom everyone looked at her and started whispering about the smokin' hot new girl and her hot friend. I felt a pang of jealousy rush through me then it turned to a sudden protective feeling. I guess Ashton saw me staring cause he smirked at me.

"You liking the new girl?" He asks

"She's not new." I simply state

"Yeah she is... I think I would remember someone that hot" he remarks and I glare at him but before he notices I fake a smile.

"That's Melanie dude" I tell him

"No it's not" Ashton scoffs

"Wanna bet?" I ask him

"Sure... 50 bucks says that she's new" he smirks and looks at her.

"Deal but you better have my money by the end of this class" I smirk back and hold out my hand.

"Deal" he says and shakes my hand. My god he's so stupid. The teacher walks in the room and starts taking attendance. When he reaches Melanie's name he looks around the room and calls her name out loud. He repeats it, he was gonna say it again but she stands up says "here" all eyes are on her. I smirk internally but when I really look at her my eyes go wide like I still didn't believe it's her.

"Wow" I whisper much too loud and now all eyes are on me. Melanie makes eye contact with me but looks away quickly.

"Oh my god, she's hot!" Michael exclaims. I don't even know why I'm friends with him.

"Enough!" Mr. Rodriguez exclaims. "You may sit down again" he tells her and she sits down.

"Looks like you owe me 50 bucks" I tell Ashton and he glares at me.

It's lunch and I'm at the library. I see Melanie come in and smile. She's coming my way.

"Can I sit here with you, the seats are taken" she asks shyly

"Sure love, no problem" I smile and she blushes. She may be dressed differently but she's still the same girl I fell in love with. "Why did you dress differently?" I ask and she looks at me wide eyed. It just came out... I cover my mouth and apologise.

"No it's ok" she smiles. "I don't know, I guess I just wanted a change so people wouldn't bully me anymore." She explains, I guess it makes sense.

"Oh but you looked beautiful before too" I tell her and she blushes.

"You're cute when you blush" I smirk at her.

"Luke Robert Hemmings are you flirting with me?" she puts one her hands over her heart dramatically. She knows my second name.

"Maybe... I mean who wouldn't with such a beautiful girl" I tell her and she laughs. Such a beautiful laugh. Still can't believe she knows my second name. How does she know it? She knows it!

"You're not too bad yourself" she says and I chuckle.

"Did you just flirt back?!" I ask and fake being dumbfounded.
