The girls decided to call Nino
" Tell me it's not true" Nino said into the phone sounding heartbroken
Alya was at a loss for words so Marinette took over
" Nino... I'm sorry but it's true. Unless you have something to say I suggest you let us be" Marinette said
" Wow. Looks like California changed you already" Nino replied
" Mhm... so anyways, what's wrong?" Marinette asked
" My man Adrien has been going crazy since you left" Nino said

" Why? He doesn't care about me or my feelings anyway"
" Dude... you're so naive! He loves you!" Nino exclaimed
Marinette showed no emotion as Alya was jumping for joy
" Well, it's too late for that Nino... he should've brought this to my attention before I left. I live in America now, I'm starting a new life and so should he." Marinette exclaimed
But what Marinette didn't know was that Adrien was listening into the call
" Marinette..." Adrien said
That voice. That soothing yet heartbreaking voice said her name and made her blood boil
" You heard me" Marinette replied before hanging up
Alya looked at Marinette in disbelief
" So you really have moved on" Alya finally exclaimed
" I need someone who cares for me... not someone who barely notices me but claims he loves me when I move to a different country." Marinette said
" You go girl, I'll support you no matter what" Alya replied
" Thanks Alya" Marinette said
" That's what im here for" Alya respondes before walking back to the picnic with Marinette
BACK IN PARIS
" Bro, what did you do?!" Nino exclaimed after the phone call
" It's not what I did... it's what I didn't do" Adrien responded
" Im here for you and everything but I don't
think you can fix this right now... she needs some space." Nino suggested
" Nino... I don't care when or where, I need to be with her. I will try to be patient and wait but I don't think my heart will last that much longer" Adrien replied
BACK IN CALIFORNIA
" Everything okay?" Bridgette asked the two
" everything is wonderful actually" Marinette
said with a smile
" That's good! Well I have good news! I just talked to the guys and they can join us for dinner tonight! Do you guys wanna go?" Bridgette asked
Alya looked at Marinette smiled and Alya did the same
" We're in" Alya replied
