My eyes met Matt's across the hallway. My back was against my locker and had been looking around for him. His mouth turned up in the corner and I blushed. He didn't make any moves towards me but looked away to talk to the group of boys he was standing with me.

Memories of the weekend still tingled upon my lips. My hands tightened around my books as I felt that balloon of happiness swirled in me.
I couldn't help but smile to myself, even though it would probably never happen again.

"Shelby" a voice said, dousing cold water on my thoughts.

I opened my eyes to see an annoyed cheerleader staring at me with her arms crossed. "Courtney" I said coolly.

"Can I ask you for a favour?" She asked, looking around as if she didn't want people seeing her talking to me.

I tilted my head. "Depends, what do you want?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.

"You're obviously close with Matt again.."she trailed off, clearing her throat.

"He has a few things on his phone that could get me in trouble" she said, straightening her back.

Raising one eyebrow, I pushed myself off the locker. "What kind of stuff?" I asked.

Pink tinged her cheeks. "Photos" she trailed off.

A laugh bubbled up into my mouth. "You want me delete your nude photos off Matt's phone?" I asked, laughing.

Courtney scowled. "You may think you know Matt, but every girl he's ever dated or talked to are on that phone, photos he and his friends all make bets on" she said, stepping closer.

I dropped my arms. "Matt isn't like that!" I exclaimed.

Courtney scoffed. "Oh really, he tossed me aside really quick when you started showing interest in him, a girl no one has managed to bed.. I know how many points that is" she replied.

Her face softened. "Girl to girl, get out of there while you can" she said before turning on her heel and walking away.

I swallowed and looked back at Matt who had been watching us with a frown.
Matt wasn't like that, right?

He cocked his head, obviously asking me of I was alright. His expression looked worried but was he worried about me or worried about what Courtney may say to me?

I didn't like the fact that what she said made me confused about him. I knew she had previously tried to tell me to back the hell off but she had shot daggers straight at him.

I turned away from Matt and started to walk to class, consumed by my thoughts. "Holy shit!" Someone cursed as my head connected with something sturdy.

I blinked and met the eyes of Henry King. The richest and supposed hottest guy on the campus. "Oh I didn't see you" I quickly said.

He didn't say anything, just stared at me. "What?" I asked nervously.

There was a social ladder of the guys as I was told, first was Henry, second was Matthew, they weren't quite friends but they weren't enemies either. "Are you alright?" he asked, looking concerned.

"I'm fine" I said rather breathlessly.

His hand had shot out to steady me, wrapping around my waist and pulling me almost to his body. I had never been this close to him or anyone like this before. "Are you sure?" he asked, frowning a little.

I nodded and gave him a certain smile. He looked up just as I heard footsteps. "Henry" Matthew's voice said as he stopped near the lockers and crossed his arms.

He glared at Henry with ice. "Matthew" Henry replied.

I cleared my throat and Henry seemed to remember I was here. He let me go. "Thank you" I said, giving him another smile.

"Come here Shels" Matt said quickly, eyeing Henry with distaste.

"Another to the list, Matthew?" Henry asked, a smirk playing on his lips.

Could Courtney be right?

"It's not like that" he replied, placing me behind him protectively.

Henry cocked his head before meeting my eyes. "It was nice to meet you, Shelby" he said before his eyes slid back to Matt's.

He turned on his heel before disappearing down the hall. I frowned as Matt turned around. "Are you alright?" he asked, his eyes drifting down my body.

I never was one to tip toe around the subject. I was blunt and obvious and if you wanted something done, you had to do it yourself. "What did he mean by list?" I asked, staring him straight in the eye.

Suddenly, he found the floor interesting. "He likes to stir the pot, don't worry about him" he replied.

I still wasn't satisfied. "Give me your phone" I said, holding out my hand.

He looked up quickly. "Why?" he asked, nervously.

"Give it to me" I said, raising an eyebrow.

He handed it to me half heartedly. My heart was in my throat as I turned it on and flicked to his gallery. I choked out a sob when I saw it there, clear as day. A photo folder dedicated to the girls who sent him photos of their bodies.
I bit my lip and held down the folder and deleted it.

I looked back up at him, shoving his phone into his chest. He clutched it and fell back, knowing exactly what I did. "You disgust me" I said, deliberately slamming my shoulder into his as I pushed past.

I kept walking down the hall and pushed open the door to my first class, just as the bell rang. I sat in my seat and Courtney looked up. "I deleted  them, I deleted all of them" I said quickly.

Satisfaction crossed her face. "Thank you" she said quietly.

She studied my face. "He's a jerk Shelby, you're better off without him" she added.

I looked down at my hands which had folded on my lap. "Oh I know, it was a mistake to give him a second chance in the first place" I replied, glancing at her.
