"Apparently you don't meen to do alot of things."
And that's when I make the dramatic exit. People are still staring, wondering what in the hell had just happened.
I feel the warm heat hit me as I exit Nandos and the comfort of there refreshing air conditioning no longer in presence. I take off my cardigan and begin walking away from the restaurant.
I soon realize that I did not drive myself here. I guess I should have just met him here, that way I could just drive out of here as I pleased. Or maybe I shouldn't have met up with Alex at all.
I take off my heels, cursing at myself mentally yet again for wearing heels today, and begin walking at a fast pace before I get noticed by Alex.
Once I'm at a fair enough distance I pick up my phone and go through the contact list until I find Mike's name, which is actually set as "Mike ;)". He had picked up my phone when he gave me his number and set the username up himself.
It only took two rings for Mike to answer.
"Hey luv," he says when he answers.
"Hey," I sigh.
"What's wrong?"
"You got that from a 'hey'?" I questioned.
"Yes. That, and maybe the fact that you sighed right after your 'hey'," he chuckles softly and I can already see the smirk plastered on his face from here.
"Well, I have a bit of an issue." I bite my bottom lip.
"What kind of issue?"
<<<<<~>>>>>
"Thanks again for picking me up, Mike."
"No problem. I'd always be here for my girlfriend."
"Your so sweet," I lean in to give him a peck on the cheek, but he has other plans. He quickly turns his head so that our lips meet. I let the kiss linger for a few seconds, tasting the sweetness of his lips, before pulling away.
"Well aren't you confident enough to pull that trick," I tease.
"Very," he plants a kiss on my forhead.
"Do you want me to pick you up tomorrow? We could go to dinner, or do you have to work?" He suggests.
"No, I don't work tomorrow. It's Saturday tomorrow. I only work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I just had to work today because Jennifer had gotten sick, or so she says."
"So it's a yes for dinner . . .or naw?"
"It's a yes," I giggle.
I give him one last lingering kiss. I put my hands around his neck while he has his around my waist. Every time Mike kisses me I feel warm and safe, but I just can't help and compare them to Alex's kisses. Alex has an edge to his kisses. He uses tongue and is a bit more forcefull but not always. He can be careful and sweet, but most of the time tongue. Always leaving me breathless.
Why am I even comparing right now? Alex can not be in my head right now.
My focuss goes back to Mike. I tilt my head to the side to deepen the kiss. And for the first time since we started dating, his tongue connects to the corner of my lips asking for entrance to my mouth. I open my mouth slightly to grant his tongue access.
We stay like this for a while before I realize that we are still in the parking lot of Diamond's Publishing.
I pull away slowly and I hear him groan from my sudden stop.
"What's wrong?" He says out of breath.
"In case you haven't noticed, it's getting late and we're still in the parking lot of Diamond's," I motion my hand to our surroundings.
"Oh, I forgot." He sends a contagious smile.
"I need to get my car and head home," I inform.
"Alright, I'll see you tomorrow then," he kisses my forhead and we say our goodbyes.
